Most Digimon actually look like small scale mechs and/or knights in armor really. Only rookie/champions look like animals. And when they do, they're Nomura animals with belts and zippers and stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Quite a good attempt, I like them. Definitely better than Dialga/Palkia.
I always had somehow chosen the other, less liked version (Blue, Gold, Sapphire, Pearl) but this time I think I'll jump onto White bandwagon. Poor Black version is gonna bomb compared to White :<
The info on US version was revealed probably because of E3. I guess they want to show it off next month, we can expect some new footage during the conference.

After some sleep on it, I think I know what my problem with Reshiram is - his arms being so high up look really comical, like he's one of those cartoon Disney dragons (or even Dragonite!) with tiny undersized wings that aren't meant to let it fly. Oh, and his Brazilian cut doesn't help either. In comparison Zekrom not only has the "pure black robot" look about him to his advantage, but aside from his massive Shellder tail there's nothing that's overly odd about him.

...also it seems more apparent every day that I spend in this thread that I'm the only person in the whole world who really liked Palkia.

Only some Champions and Ultimate have that though. The actual art (not the crappy "cleaned" art for anime) actually shows some ferocity in their designs despite being cute. I mean, wtf, Agumon has muscles!

I think it's funny that you'll find everyone complaining that modern Pokemon designs aren't organic enough on one page, only to find much of the same crowd preferring the more synthetic-looking dark legendary out of this pair.

Anyway, Serebii is reportedly saying that both of these legends are part Dragon (again). I'll put my money on Normal/Dragon + Ghost/Dragon for now. It would make them balanced against each other, but those are kind of dull/redundant typings.
