Fire blast is amazing on Braixen, though. If you're playing someone who's using a character who can't get in on you efficiently you can just sit back and let back A rock. Back when I was playing Sceptile (before I had a closet full of L's), the Braixen match up seemed like it was in Sceptile's favor oddly enough. Any character with a decent counter move can get around fire blast, I think.

As a Braixen player I try so hard to avoid solely spamming fire blast in duel phase if I can. It's too damn good at keep something back but makes me feel incredibly dirty.

Nah dawg, play to win. If the opponent you're playing can't predict/read when you're gonna do it they deserve that L.

I had a guy give up against my zoning. Just stopped doing anything.

I felt a little bad when it matched us up again the next match.

So I used Weavile first, then I went Libre and then tried Suicune and decided to go back to Weavile (which I just hit lvl 100 with today, yay).

As someone that played a lot of Smash and SFV. Pokkén for me was really hard to get into. Especially figuring out which moves break counters, what the comand grabs are. how to get in against projectile characters.

The game is easy to pick up as mashing buttons can get you places in the singleplayer (to an point) but actually trying to understand the mechanics and bringing it online was quite overwhelming.

Honestly before I picked up Pokken I was worried that it would be too simple of a fighting game for me to get into. Now here I am still not knowing how to play this game decently, lmao. There's really no other fighting game I can think of that plays like this. It's so unique.

I. Love. This. Game.

Been playing friendly/ranked online a bit this week as well as finishing up the single player mode, and finally got around to playing it with 6 friends this weekend. Rotated our winners vs losers for a few hours and my god so fun. People who haven't played it were able to pick it up just enough to be able to compete and everybody had really close matches, everything was super fun. I'm not typically a fighting game guy, always loved watching them but could never really crack the code on how to play them well, but I've been putting in some good time learning this one and I'm having tons of fun. Maining Machamp right now with some Sceptile on the side.

It really is a great game. Which makes it's absence at NCR all the more painful.

My Town has got some real good Persona vibes to it.

I am absolutely appalled by what I witnessed my 8 year child playing this past week. My son is an avid Pokémon fan so when we heard that the new Pokémon game was coming out in March, I made sure to preorder the game for him. The game arrived on time and everything seemed fine. My son decided to play a character called Blaziken. As he is playing this character, I noticed male genitals upon my TV screen. This is unacceptable especially if this game is for children to play. I have written an email to Nintendo waiting to hear back from them. I have shown this picture to at least 10 other parents, all who share the same disgust. One person even stated that this is similar to exposing children to porn. I would like to warn other parents about this Pokémon game.

The bulge jokes never end playing this with friends but his Blazing Bulge has been common knowledge for awhile. That tuft is tough and isn't going anywhere.

-Garchomp's hemipenes are clearly gigantic
-Machamp has a nice one
-This Lucario is clearly a male
-Blaziken's was already mentioned. IIRC it's bigger when he mega evolves
-Suicune sometimes has what looks like a slit and sometimes has a nice bulge, all depending on the animation. So that's what they mean by "unknown gender"...

........What?

Tried out Ranked for the first time while testing my streaming setup. I was surprised at both how good the netcode felt (outside of one minor moment) and how well I actually did without getting my ass handed to me too badly haha.

Yeah the netcode feels very good. Played against someone from Japan the other day(I'm East coast Canada) and it felt almost the same as playing someone fairly closeby.

Managed to jump over Mewtwo's burst grab from neutral. Will have to test a little bit more to be certain just in case that was just lag working in my favour.

At least we got to have the joy of getting Smash Bros when we were kids. I was so excited when I first heard about a fighting game with all the Nintendo dudes, it was pretty much my dream game.

I remember someone told me about Smash Bros and I was like, "What's that?" I heard about it but I thought it was a Mario Bros ripoff or something. It wasn't until I was playing it myself did the idea sink in that multiple Nintendo characters were duking it out on my screen. Also the first time I'd seen like half the cast tbh. Speaking of having been there I was playing Donkey Kong Country 2 in front of that same nephew and I beat a level with Diddy so I said, "Check this out." so he could see Diddy rocking out with his boombox because I thought he'd find it funny. He looks at it for a few seconds then looks back at me and says, "What's that?"

I thought about for a moment then I realized I'd have to explain at least 3 things before I could get to what a boombox was lol
