Pokemon have genitalia?

Just finished beating Shadow Mewtwo. The grind to get here... I lost 1 round in the entirety of Red league, and because of that 1 got 9th place, meaning I had to do a whole other 6-8 damn battles to get to the tournament (6th). The grind gets longer the more you lose

The upsides -

The cloaked fighters you play had actual AI. Got caught offgaurd by a Lucario double that was cancel and counter crazy. Counters to my counter to his counters. Shit actually succeeded in stalling me twice.

The final battle brought the hype. Anne yelling (in japanese), stacking Sunny Day as Braixen as fast as possible using the counter cancel method, getting my ass kicked in round 2, my synergy gauge finally coming back and then becoming infinite. Anime footage, Visual Works esque ending. Gave me a pang in my heart that made me want a console Square Enix pokemon action RPG (FF esque, not gym leader/final 4 dreck from the hand held titles) really bad.

All of it should have been with cloaked figures, more voiced npcs, and less filler bullshit. Namco needs to bring their A game for PT2's story mode.

Haha...thoughts?

I'll be frank, as someone who doesn't know jack about the newer Pokemon, first thing I noticed when I first played the game (Because I took Blaz first) was the fur dick. I was with a friend and we both found pretty funny that they designed something like that at this place.

Too be this offended though? Nah...I wouldn't mind having kids that play this. :lol

Yeah Blazikens Blazinuts was the first thing I noticed too and I think its hilarious, because it totally looks phallic, even if its not. You know what they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity, if this hits, say, the front page of reddit or its share a lot on facebook, something like that, people will realize the game released and more people will play it.

Hey guys

Just to get some help, I've been compiling titles lists but am still missing about a hundred or so. Any chance I can get some help to fill the gaps?

Holy crap, that last shadow mewtwo battle was epic as hell. Lost twice, but then I shifted into overdrive, and it was just...awesome. The AI was competent and I truly felt like everything I learned up to this point, was challenged! It's like they teased us story elements at the end of the game...

I hope the sequel draws from this bit, and makes it more than just a fancy arcade mode.

I love this game so much.

You could have just backed in and out of the menu until you see an opponent in the list that's at least 8th. That way when you win you can get the tournament. Home screen if you lost and try again

As a Braixen player I try so hard to avoid solely spamming fire blast in duel phase if I can. It's too damn good at keep something back but makes me feel incredibly dirty.

not only that projectiles used by the pikas, any beam type and even braxiens own psywave can eat the basic fire ball portion of the move and sometimes just beat out the move (its honeslty not that great unless u literally have your opponent in shield)

Any tips on how to play Sceptile? I'm trying to learn him as a secondary, but I'm playing him too much like Gardevoir rather than utilizing his own strengths.

Right now, I try to play mind games at mid range, using a combination of his mid grab and back + A to close distance, and just doing simple YYYY combos. Nothing fancy, but its won me a bunch of matches in casual. Would definitely like to take him to the next level though.

What areas? I doubt I have anything that would fill, but maybe those lucky bonuses gave me something.

How rare do you guys think a sealed shadow MewTwo card will become? Grabbed one yesterday for £2.15 at work.

Since they're only in the first printing of the games, that's going to depend entirely on how many copies of the game they sell and how many are "first prints." If the stock lasts then I doubt it will be worth much, but if it requires more runs then the value will probably go up.

Yeah, it can get pretty frustrating. I dunno if any of this will help, but I'll throw out some thoughts. A lot of it might already be obvious to you.

Some general tips:

*snip*

Teleport punch (duel phase X) can pierce. That usually helps with range issues.

Thanks for the info!

I think it's more important not make it a habit, especially so early in the game. It will mess you up against more skilled opponents if you're used to it as a crutch.

Brook is now making Wii U converters for PS4/PS3 & 360/XB1 sticks & pads.

Judging by the fact that this works with Smash 4, Pokkén Tournament, & Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the Wii U, it likely registers your stick as a Pro Controller. I've reached out to both Focus Attack & Brook via Twitter to make sure, but FA wasn't sure & Brook has yet to respond.

I wonder if there will be too much input delay.

How is Garchomp online? I've only been playing Ferrum to get a feel for each character. Really liked him, but I haven't seen anybody play as him on streams or mention him when they say what characters they use.

I thought the exact same thing.

In the character select screen, it looks like normal Blaziken with the 3 spikes of hair.

But in the win/lose pose at the end of a match, it looks exactly like a dick. Its just the angle, but still.. not sure how they didnt see that and think "hmm.. might need to change that".

I did end up picking this game up yesterday.

However, when i went to the gamestop near my place, it was sold out. I couldnt believe it.

I ended up getting it at best buy, but I take it as a good sign that the game is selling well if my local GS didnt have a single copy.

More sales = DLC! And we NEEEED that dlc.

Does it shove you back into a friendly if you afk without exiting the mode or something?

Earlier today I came across a dude in friendly mode who had 400 games, and only 2 wins, and he just stood there doing nothing....

I don't even...

Afk farming levels?

God damn, losing streak leading me to the brink of a rank down, this game was making me so dang salty today I actually question whether I should still play it, no other fighter gets me quite like this.
So I try to escape to SFV and....well I've been sitting on the main menu waiting for a fight for over 8 minutes so far, no wonder I stick with Pokken despite the rage, it's like they're trying to make me go back.

Where is everyone going to find high level tech? Shoryuken didnt have anything from what I saw and smashboards didnt either. Youtube is also pretty dry.

I need that high level pokken play!!!

Yeah when you compare the matchmaking of Pokken with SF V, there's just no contest.

Just unlocked regular-ass Mewtwo and can see why he'd be considered top tier. So much damage, good speed, and a wide variety of tools.

Also, this game has rekindled my love for Gengar. Like, I always loved the mischievous bastard, but he's so awesome here, and the Mega was implemented so well. I also can't get enough of the victory animation where he chases the victory logo and then goes and lick the results. I couldn't help but think of this.

But with more enthusiasm. Also while looking up art for his to use as a wallpaper I found out that it seems to be a thing to pair him with Clefable?

Been playing for a week, I've only played as Machamp.
The few times I tried playing that chandelier thing or anything else I felt like a filthy ranged scumbag.
Can't stand it.
Gengar seemed cool though.

Not feeling regular mewtwo all that much. It really just feels like less damage gengar with a simpler ranged game.

That's not surprising. Personally I'm a gengar main that is slowly picking up machamp (but has been sidelined for a bit due to unlocking mewtwo).

That Weavile match you just had was close! I'm a Gardevoir main as well, and it's so interesting to see a different playstyle. You don't think you'd benefit more with the double jump ability? You get two aerial attacks as opposed to one, good for mixups too.

I do like the Future Sight zoning, I'm gonna see about incorporating that into my playstyle. Let's fight each other soon!

I wish they used the special synergy burst music used for shadow mewtwo in dark colloseum. It's lame that it's only used in story mode because the normal synergy burst music sucks.

Almost done with single player, just have the Chroma league left. I don't think the grind is that bad but I can definitely see why people might get tired out of it if you do it in like two sittings. I've pretty much been spreading it out across a few days, not trying to rush through it.

...Though that's also because I'm still trying to finish some other games at the same time lol.

I felt kinda the opposite. Feels like a higher damage Gengar with more hp and generally better options. But without some of the kinda gimmicky mixups and with a slower charging burst gauge. I'm a Gengar main, but if felt like I was already doing better with Mewtwo on my first day using him. I could be off base here though, I'm not very good tbh.

Early story spoiler:
So was I supposed to lose to Shadow Mewtwo the first time? I couldn't take the last 4 HP away even with my support pokemon. I figure I just suck.

So I'm trying to beat Shadow Mewtwo on the Blue League fight and he's such a fucking bitch about everything. First time I did it I got him to like 100 HP, thought OK this is doable, third time I got him to 11 damn HP before he tossed some ridiculous chaining combo, haven't got close since (but I haven't tried today because it was such a huge time sink yesterday).

Game devs, don't make encounters that are almost but not quite impossible. Either make them unwinnable or make them very tough but also reasonable. I fucking hate when games toss up this giant cliff and dare you to climb it and just waste a pile of your time.

TIP 1: Machamps backhand slash DELETES ENEMY PROJECTILES. YES THIS EVEN MEANS ALMOST ALL OF SHADOW MEWTWOS PROJECTILES EVEN THE BIG ORANGE BEAM (This single handedly makes this matchup even, get in twice and you win.) . The only character this does not apply to is Chandelure and characters with huge charged DBZ style beams. (The backhand slash input is away from your opponent + A)

TIP 2: Air grabs are your friend. A well timed air grab on your opponents wakeup will beat a super.Air grabs on wakeup in general make your ground slam that much better. I usually only reccomend air grabs in 2D mode. In 3d mode they are much much harder to setup.

TIP 3: In 2D mode Y Y is cancelable which is great because Machamp has forward + A, a massive amount of people fall for this and if they don't just press the third Y of the combo next time you do it and they will learn to respect it.

Let me know if you guys liked these Machamp tips. GL dudes.

These are legit, especially the back+A (can't make it work on Shadow Mewtwo's bullshit beam though) and the Y, Y, forward+A.

Shadow Mewtwo is a complete prick because he does SO much fucking damage and his these almost unending chain of combos. Not to mention his completely undodgeable super attack that does like 3/4 of your life. I finally am rid of having to deal with that alone but jesus if it didn't take me like 10 times.

Playing with R Pika it means you need to COMPLETELY dominate, if you fuck up more than twice and he combos you to death you are done.

It's possible to beat him, but it's not mandatory I won by abusing Chandelure's charge beam.

At least we got to have the joy of getting Smash Bros when we were kids. I was so excited when I first heard about a fighting game with all the Nintendo dudes, it was pretty much my dream game.

This. Growing up in the onset of the crossover fighter was amazing. Smash, Xmen VS, Fighters Megamix, etc.

Clefable and Gengar look pretty similar in shape I guess, so probably some lore theories or some such.

Are arcade sticks good for this game? I still have my TTT2 wii u stick laying around. I'd check but i don't have the game yet.
