Cash back bonuses are a percentage of your spending -- so if you spend $100, you get a small percentage of that as a cash back bonus. Terms will vary between cards, but I think mine applies to all purchases -- some purchases earn more than others (usually based on the category, like gas vs food, and they have different high yield categories at different times of the year). I still don't see how it's this close. Mitt is a freaking awful candidate running a horrible campaign, and I'm almost teetering into the opinion that he's a pretty terrible human being, too. The fact that he'll still get the votes over 40% of the voters bugs the shit out of me. This shouldn't be close at all. This should be an ass-whooping like we've never seen before.
It never will, or if it does it will be in the last week of the campaign. If they call it lean Obama they may as well call the election.

This is how I see it: A large percentage of voters who were truly undecided have been waiting for Romney to differentiate himself. After the conventions, Romney failed to do so and even if they think Obama will do no better, they like him more.
Believe it or not, Kasich is part of the reason Romney is upside down in Ohio. He decimated Romney's chances to improve his re-election bid.
It freaks me out that it/s 50/43 and not 80/13

Romney's only positive shot is to have all kinds of details at the debates. Details that aren't fact-checked as lies 5 minutes later.
I think I'm just surprised that Romney is running such a shitty campaign, I'm expecting some kind of bait and switch here. And yes Obama should be winning by more and likely would be if the economy was better, but I'm just expecting the floor to give out and everyone to go full retard. Frankly if Romney gets elected and repeals the ACA I am literally fucked, so I'm just going to be freaked out by this whole thing until it's over.

It did, they are. That's pretty much the basis of Obama's coalition -- the "New American Electorate" is everybody who got fed up with George W. The moral arc of the universe and all that. Even Reagan can't rule forever.
There were more individual humans in 2008 than at any time in history prior to that point.

The country is far too polarized for that to happen. I don't think you'll see a double-digit landslide victory again anytime soon, short of Romney devouring an infant on live television or calling Obama the N-word in the debates.

McCain won more votes than Kerry, and that was a close election.
So yeah, that doesn't mean anything. Would still be cool if Obama broke 75 million.

After seeing various polls, i think the chances of Obama retaking North Carolina might be over.

But Reagan in 84' got more votes than anyone until 20 years later. Transformational Political figures do that I think.
You need transformational figures to get close to 70 million votes like Obama did in 08, and there is NO WAY IN HELL Mitt Romney is even coming close.
This is just a theory but I remember the 2008 election for a couple striking moments. One of those moments were when Obama won NC by a mere 14,000 votes despite the most recent poll closed just 2 days earlier having him up near or above a double digit margin.
Conclusion? Racist Democrats and Independents couldn't get themselves to vote for Obama once they got into the booth...I never thought Obama had a snowballs chance in hell in NC this time around.
It was the only state where the so called "Bradley Effect" happened where Obama won

I agree but I think it's the only avenue by which the country might question Obama's basic competence in comparison to Romney. If its reasonably believable that it was out of his control (Euro collapse) it may still not be enough for Romney.
Any other kind of tragedy or crisis is more likely to solidify the country around Obama.

Surveyusa's last poll was complete bullshit. Romney's winning 1/3rd of the black vote, yeah okay.
Every other poll has shown a close race, with maybe a slight Romney advantage. PPP's last had Obama up 1.

Add that to the fact that some 35% will vote GOP no matter what due to abortion, guns, gays, etc.
But that said . . . Romney blew this. He should have shaken the etch-a-sketch and ran more like the guy that won the Mass Governorship. Yes, that would have pissed off much of his based . . . but they were not going to vote for the Kenyan Muslim Socialist.

I know, and both things are salient - was just adding it as a caveat, not a dispute, per se.
It's kinda funny looking back and how everyone predicted Mittens would shift to the center after the primaries instead of tripling down on the stupid.
Libertarians could fire back by announcing no one as the SoS because fuck the rest of the world.
