This is just amazing. Man loves the stage.

Throwing punches in every single direction. Crowd eating out of his hand more the deeper he gets in the weeds.

It's a wrap. Having Michelle and President Clinton on your first two nights is just not fair. Obama is going to kill this and bring it home. Game, blouses.

Well, good first couple nights from Michelle and Clinton but who one earth do the democrats have left on their bench that can follow that?

Can't think of anyone

anyone.

I wonder how much the Republicans wish Bush existed...

I've wanted to post in PoliGAF for a while as my primary thread is halogaf, but that speech was one of the most moving things I've ever seen in my life.

What a bad mamma jamma.

God damnit, is anyone watching the nominations?

I'm a proud Democrat from Alabama and the Alabama delegates nominated, "Governor Barack Obama." This is why we'll always be Alabama, the worst state ever.

Masterful performance. Two knock outs in a row, and everyone knows Obama will give a great speech (the only question is how great it will be).

I thought the day started slow and was ugly at times, but none of that matters after Clinton's speech. Meanwhile the RNC had...Eastwood and Ann Romney

Since the "Clinton and Obama are rivals!" narrative didn't work, I think they're going to try "Clinton upstaged Obama!!!" Just watch.

It's about the only card they have to play.
And it won't go over very well, in fact it may damage as much as help.

Is this the, "we still have a lot of time left, something big still could happen" moment that you always yammer on about? ;)

Clinton was amazing, I would vote for him if it was legally allowed

Someone finally took a fucking stand against all the BS that the GOP and Romney/Ryan have been throwing around and it was beautiful

Why the hell were the GOP building up Clinton when they knew he was going to go after them tonight?
Because they're idiots and thought his speech would be code for "Obama sucks, vote for Romney ;)"

I couldn't be happier that Democrats are no longer interested in playing fair.

Exclusive: Paul Ryan Quietly Requested Obamacare Cash

On December 10, 2010, Ryan penned a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services to recommend a grant application for the Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc to develop a new facility in Racine, Wisconsin, an area within Ryan’s district. “The proposed new facility, the Belle City Neighborhood Health Center, will serve both the preventative and comprehensive primary healthcare needs of thousands of new patients of all ages who are currently without healthcare,” Ryan wrote.

The grant Ryan requested was funded directly by the Affordable Care Act, better known simply as healthcare reform or Obamacare.

The letter, among several obtained by The Nation and The Investigative Fund through a Freedom of Information Act request, is a stark reminder that even the most ardent opponents of Obamacare privately acknowledge many of the law’s benefits.

Despite Ryan’s quiet support for an Affordable Care Act clinic grant in his district, the Wisconsin congressman’s promise to repeal Obamacare would undermine the law’s five-year plan to rapidly grow the health clinic system in America by withdrawing the necessary funds.

"I'm here to nominate a President. (pause) And I've got one in mind! (pause) But since I can't run again, I guess I'll just have to nominate Barack Obama."

They thought Clinton was just going to do with Obama what Christie did with Romney; just talk about himself (and Hillary) for 20 minutes and then go, "Oh yeah, and Obama's pretty cool too. You should maybe vote for him, if you want to. I dunno."

Republicans will take the WH back in 2016 with the help from a W speech that eclipses Big Dog's. Haha...Republicans are done. Demographics will continue to go against them and they'll keep moving to the right alienating anyone with a functioning brain.

I'm convinced that republicans have bough into and believe the crap they make up to try to push on people to get them to vote for them. That's the only thing that explains them being so stupid when I think about this.

So, I guess this ends the GOP's recently discovered admiration of the Clintons. Will the Romney camp even mention Bill's name now?

I am not surprised. Ryan is a walking, talking, lying man. Good thing is because he is VP some of these things are coming out.

This was a good day for the Dems.

Warren was great.

The LA Mayor said one sentence and exited quickly.

Fluke was solid. Definitely someone to pay attention to, in the future.

Clinton gave a clinic on public speaking.

holy shit, was it fun watching Krauthammer just make up a whole bunch of bullshit on the fly

"They didn't change the venue because of weather. They knew what the weather would be like months ago."

"Clinton gave a long speech as revenge for 2008."

You can't make this shit up.

The whole hilarious bit about worrying whether Bill Clinton would stab Obama in the back as some sort of payback for beating Hillary in 2008 is this:

Bill could never, EVER, dislike a fellow democrat as much as he hates the entirety of the GOP.
