One thing that has struck me about this race has been the portrayal of an enthusiasm gap. Sure Trump voters are loud and very much in the public eye much of the time; they have never seemed like the "enthusiastic" supporters that would sit down and grind out 50 phonecalls or travel to a contested area and canvas for him. They are there for the glory, but not the dirty work.

Hillary supporters are the exact opposite for the most part: more willing to volunteer and give time, less willing to show it (though really that has become less true as the race has moved on), and are generally more enthusiastic in a more productive way for campaigning.
