This is exactly how some people talk about Alex Jones.
I get your point, but it's a completely false equivalency. if people were merely entertained by Alex Jones (forgetting for a moment the nature of the content the parties here expound or profess) then we would barely have heard of him. Alex Jones is not problematic because people laugh at him, he is problematic because people
believe him.
I no more take life actions or assemble beliefs based on Louise Mensch than I do based on Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Think about the
implications.
Does she have a legitimate source? Or does she constantly throw out dozens of vague proclamations? It feels like she is using the ol' Nostradamus playbook to build credibility. People only remember the hits and forgiver her misses.
Nah, she's been dead on with timing predictions in particular, and new information, in some cases before those things were things. She tends to get a bit florid in her prose, and she has filled in a bunch of gaps that so far haven't been anything (and has some absolutely AWFUL views anyway) but it's pretty apparent she's got some sort of source or sources in congress at the very least.
If I were a journalist, I'd literally never touch her stuff with a ten foot bargepole. but as a curious citizen, it's interesting to see how her rants parallel real world events.
The idea that Page took a video of Trump literally committing treason for quid pro quo is baffling though. Like, why not have a chat in person instead of giving an obvious idiot the most incriminating thing ever. I don't buy that for a second. Not even Trump is that stupid. It also doesn't make sense from a Russian perspective. they would no more want that kind of evidence floating around than trump himself would.
Mensch ultimately is interesting because she seems to get the odd week's notice on house/FBI activity. I think probably from a congress staffer or aide.
You can't "guess" detailed information on Alfabank or FISA warrants (the latter you could now, but back when she first started this train of thought it was not obvious)
