Apart from all the excitement from Obama's win, I am finally glad I will not be subjected to crazy campaign shenanigans any longer. THANK GOD.

Tonight we made history, perhaps far greater history than we even realize. Tonight, for the first time in my entire life, a speech from a President (elect) brought me to tears.

Tonight I saw the truth of his words. The truth of the words that brought him from a park in Illinois to the President of the United States.

Yes we can.

Tonight America proved how far it has come. I can only image how his family feels in the after, his grandmother who just passed away yesterday must be beaming there.

Tonight I felt something I haven't felt for eight years. I felt hopeful. I felt like we can overcome this. It won't happen overnight, and as Mr. Obama said in his speech it will be a steep climb.

But we can do this. We just proved we can.

Yes we can.

Thank you America. It's been a long time since I've felt faith in anything. It's been a long time since I've swelled up with this much pride to say that I am an American. And one day when I have kids of my own, I'll be able to tell them that I was here when we made history. I walked into a voting booth and voted for the new President. I can tell them that his skin color didn't matter to me, that it was the power of his words and his intellect that won my vote. I can tell them that I didn't judge him by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.

Dr. Martin Luthur King Jr. would be proud. I'm sure he is.

I tried to collect some of the best bitter tears posts that I could find at Rapture and Hillary sites, but there are just far too many. I wouldn't know where to begin.

Some guy at the Rapture site went out and started flying his American flag upside down. :lol

McCain completely sold himself out over the course of this campaign. Sincere, respectful, independant McCain became an organ of the far right, and morphed into an angry, bitter old man, with angry, bitter followers.

McCain faced an uphill battle from the beginning, but he did himself no favors.
You watch too much Star Wars man. He was trying to win an election clean and simple. sorry if it doesnt sound cool on a message board. You don't "marph" over a 3 year period. It was politics.

I'm not deluded enought to think the guy I voted for was being up front. I hope he wasnt because IF HE WAS he is FAR to moderate for me. :/

they all sell themselves out.

What the fuck is wrong with young people? Jesus fucking Christ, if a college student can't get excited about Obama, what the fuck are you waiting for? Why do young voters refuse to give a shit?

Oh, fuck it, here's a post from hilaryclinton.com.

Anyone else about to have a nervous breakdown?
Because I am. We need to get this birth certificate found out for christ sake! I'm not surrendering and I hope you wont too, we have worked too hard to just get in line now. I don't care if the entire US went in the tank for obama, I will never back down! This man is clearly not a US born citizen and I advise you all to call your local authorities and complain, because if we the people wont rise against this BS than who else will? We have been soldout by our government and the idiots in this country! I feel invisible! Will good ever conquer?

P.U.M.A needs to start organizing major riots or protests or whatever you want to call it. We can't just sit here and do nothing, the birth certifictae needs to be outed by WE THE PEOPLE.

The young are dumb and clueless. It's the blessing and curse of being young.

I actually don't watch Star Wars, and yes, the McCain of this election is nigh unrecognizable. He might have thought, or been advised that this was what he had to do to win, but in my opinion, his strident tone and dirty ads rallied the base at the expense of everyone else.

I used to have respect for Senator McCain. Used to.

YOU LUCKY MOTHERFUCKERS.

Wisconsin had a health care referendum on the ballot (which "yes" is basically means us asking "we would sure like some government health care pretty please") on the ballot which passed around 70%-80% in most counties which is pretty well. Funny enough the argument the commercials made to vote no was that "illegal aliens would benefit" which no one gives a shit about because hey does Wisconsin even have that many illegal aliens?

Chuck Todd says:

"we know... lots of outstanding vote"

as to why they aren't calling the Georgia Senate race yet.

Chuck Todd is on the case of the missing vote!

"let's.... become.... radical!!!! organized riots!!!!!!!!!"
"wait, didn't we blame obama for associations with radicals?"
"..."

On MSNBC David Gregory was announcing the upcoming interview with Gov. Bill Richardson, and Chris Matthews started asking outloud "What happened to the goatee? What happened?!" Gregory started laughing and said "We'll find out after this break." Then as the screen started fading to black Chris yells out "Secretary of State!" :lol

I hope so. I think he'd be great!

I always look to WWII for a time in our country when people banded together and sacrificed so much for a worthy cause.

I constantly ask myself whether our generation will ever have that chance, to partake in history.

After that speech tonight by President Obama, I am full of regret that my mere contribution to this campaign was my vote, my devoted attention, and talking to the people around me.

Not being there to share with those that were out there every day on the ground to help make this happen, will be one of the biggest regrets of my life. I guess what is left is to do the best I can as a citizen for the next 4 years.

I'm glad someone has fucking noticed.

I don't want GA to be the FL of 2008. If Obama lost here, that's fine, but at least count the fucking votes that were cast.

I'd say it's gonna be Bush pardoning Cheney and resigning, and then Cheney pardoning Bush, but Bush already successfully pardoned himself back in 2006. :(
