I can hear Hillaryis44 now.

"OF COURSE, THEY WAITIED TO ISSUE THE GUILTY VERDICT UNTIL AFTER ALL THE PRIMARIES ENDED OBAMA IS CORRUPT HES GOT THE COURTS IN HIS POCKET OMG"
:lol You kid, but...

They were actually saying the other day that he paid off one of the jurors to delay deliberations

Personally, I don't understand why anyone is still following this trial. Him being guilty imples what, for Obama, exactly? It's not just HillaryIs44, all the pro-Hillary sites like TalkLeft, etc

Just got home, what did I miss today? Heard the beginning of Obama's speech this morning, but didn't hear any of Hillary's. Anything new?

Obama agreed to do the Town Hall thing with McCain.

I tend to believe that Obama is aware that there are more people in this country capable of serving in his cabinet than the names floated as presidential or vice-presidential candidates in the past four years. :p

Also, a consideration any presidential candidate has to have is that you can't pull all of your big senator lions from the Senate to serve in your government. Senate elections are hard to win and keep and they have a slim enough majority as it is.

I like Terry. He has genuine enthusiasm. I can't wait until Hillary concedes and he's free to put his cheerleading skills to better use.

Also, on the topic of the Daily Show, the new correspondent guy they had on last night sucked.

So did that chick from Flight of the Conchords they brought on in recent months. I'm glad I haven't been seeing too much of her.

Yeppers, I think the audience was force to laugh. They should give him another chance though.

Hardball just showed part of Hillary's speech at AIPEC. She didn't concede, or say Obama won, but the speech was much more what I expected last night to be. She was mellow, and was very complimentary to Obama.

I sent Hillary a message, you should too!

Yeah, maybe. There are some current correspondents I could tell were going to be awesome from their first appearance on the show (John Oliver, Larry Wilmore) and there are some that took a awhile before they grew on me (Aasif Mandvi, Rob Riggle).

She's going to add you to the "millions of people who sent in messages of support"

...and me to. I said I'm insulted every time she claims the popular vote since she disenfranchises my state (CO) to do so.

With multiple senators vying for the presidency people have forgotten how important the Senate itself is.

Also not being a judge. I dare ya, name a Supreme Court justice who had no experience being a judge beforehand.

There have been 2 in the last 70 years or so:
LF Powell was appointed by Nixon; previously he was the President of the ABA.
Byron White (appointed to Kennedy) was the last one; he was the Deputy Attorney General.

Why would Hillary, by all accounts a pretty average professional lawyer with no jurisprudential experience at all and a long history of partisanship and ripe opportunities for COI recusals, ever be nominated?

Rehnquist wasn't a judge

Also:
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/14/politics/14scotus.html?pagewanted=all
But until the recent past, it was common for Supreme Court justices to be drawn from the ranks of elected officials and distinguished lawyers who had never been judges. Another of President Nixon's choices, Lewis F. Powell Jr., was a prominent lawyer who had served as president of the American Bar Association and chairman of the Richmond, Va., school board.

Of the 108 people who have served on the Supreme Court, only 48 - fewer than half - were drawn from the ranks of sitting judges. And while judges do make up the biggest single biographical category, there have also been 25 practicing lawyers, 9 attorneys general or deputy attorneys general, 7 holders of other cabinet positions, 6 senators, 2 members of the House of Representatives, 3 governors, 2 solicitors general and 2 law professors.

I'm not a favor of picking non-judges, or active partisans so I think Hillary would be one of the worst possible choices. I also think it would go down as well as Hariett Mier's nomination

:lol Lisa Cavuto.

Chris Matthews said "why was it that she asked people to tell her what to do and what they think and the only option was to fight on?"

"Well, it wasn't the only option, the other option was......to donate...."

The bit about change you can believe was cringe worthy. I agree when someone said that it seems extremely forced. Then you add that creepy smile. Its going to be a long road for McCain.

Just like that. The GOP used "McCain has a lifetime of experience, I have a lifetime of experience, and Obama gave a speech in 2002" bit by Clinton to attack Obama with.

Thanks Hillary!

At this point I think McCain is going to pick either Bobby Jindal or a woman as his VP. It only makes sense. It'll be one or the other depending on what Obama does. If he picks a white dude, McCain will pick a woman. If he picks a woman, McCain will pick Jindal. He has to show that his ticket can be diverse, too. If he doesn't, he's just a tard.

Just returning from banville, and holy shit I have to second the comments on McCain's HORRIBLE forced smile at 30BPS (blinks per second for you squares out there). I actually liked McCain when he was campaigning in 2000, and now it seems like he's putting on a fake personality and taking different stances on positions from the ones he actually believes in in hopes to get more conservative support.

And THAT's not change we can believe in.. hee hee hee hee

And if they could hit Kerry with the flip flop label in 04, then Obama can do it without batting an eyelash to McCain.

-85 and has lost 14 times
-former Democrat
-former Green Party candidate
-got rejected by the Green Party when they choose no one over him
-against the Iraq War
-believes the Iraq War was started to get oil and to distract Americans from the growing European Union
-believes we should set up a counter Pacific Union between Japan, China, Korea and the US to compete with the Euro
-Compulsory draft for men and women always. You get the choice between the military or civilian projects
-Wants to eliminate our form of government, representative democracy, and replace it with a parliamentary system
-His only fame really comes from being in a Daily Show segment that... well... actually summed him up pretty well

How can Lisa Cavuto possibly believe Hillary's speech last night was leading her supporters to Obama's side? She was still making the flawed case for why she should be the nominee!

Aasif Mandvi had an amazingly biting debut that showed our utterly obscene the administration's views on messing with Iraq really were. It's one of my absolute favorite segments the show has ever done.

But will it ever end? The guy is constantly saying things that are just flat out false (like 'we are back to pre-surge troop levels' . . . what?) yet he hardly gets called out on any of it. Its like they all feel sorry for him because he has these 'senior moments'. Look . . . this is not an affirmitive action election so stop ignoring that stuff.

(I just realized the irony of what I typed. :lol )

So wtf does this guy have? Probably nothing.
How can this guy say he's not a supporter, but is willing to assist her in any way necessary to help her win as an independent candidate?
