Looks okay to me. Doesn't look great but it's not awful either.
It'll be tucked under my tv where I can barely see it, so meh... who cares.
 
Honestly, I prefer the design of what was the PS4, first PS3 models or PS2 consoles, with chrome.

The PS5 console, It gives me the feeling that it is just cheap plastic.

And neither futuristic-looking, what's more, I don't even see the shape of the console.

and i can see that the color white is more easy to get dirty aspect.

I really liked the look of the original PS3 too.
 
Ugly as sin, too big and incredibly impractical. It's a failure any way you look at it. We know Sony's capable of designing decent hardware, so I'm not sure what went wrong here.
 
I really hate how the console looks. The initial reveal of the console killed what little hype they had managed to build in the rest of the reveal presentation. Before, I was planning on getting one right at launch. At this point, I might get one after a year or so. It really depends on how long it takes them to release anything I'm interested in playing, and if/when they release a version of the system that looks less terrible.
 
I like the look of it vertically.

Horizontally, I want to leave it on someone's doorstep crying, while I ring the bell and run away.
 
I think it looks sweet, but these things are hard to know right away. It'll take some time of actually having it around before I really know how to feel about it.

The weird slanted polygon PS4 seemed cool until the shape of it made reaching the ports in the back a pain in the fucking ass.
 
Yes, big and ugly, but who cares?. You play games on these things, not have them on your shelf next to your Clarise Cliff varse.
 
I'd need to see it for myself to make that judgement. The flaps may serve a purpose to stop dust from settling on the vents.

If it was actually the size of the router that it looks like it wouldn't be too bad, gaudy but not too bad. When you add the gigantic size in though, it's terribly ugly.

When will it be okay to critique either company again, without being labeled disingenuous? Is there a 6 month before & after window surrounding the new console release? Should we keep all critiques to ourselves until then?

I love Playstation. I've owned 1-4 and haven't had an X-Box in a decade. PS5 is unattractive. The design and color scheme don't go well together imo.

The digital console wouldn't be bad if it were half the size lol. The size is what makes it even uglier to imagine on display in my entertainment center. But it will play DS so it's my baby and will end up being beautiful in daddy's eyes.
 
I really like the design, but it is too big in its current form.
I am hoping it will be like Frieza, where its final form will be much smaller and even more powerful, but black orbs instead of purple obviously. ;)

I love the look of the console.

Its way different to the boxy profiles we had for the past few generations.

I have a white TV unit so it will go well with that. Can't wait to replace my PS4 Pro.
 
Hidious, like a bastard-child of the Y2K and flashy 'gamer' aesthetic. Since it is on 7nm, we'll be stuck with it for a while too.
