Avril Lavigne ‏@AvrilLavigne 46m

Catch me tomorrow on @1027KIISFM with @RyanSeacrest around 7am PST. I've got something to announce ;)
This bitch better promote ha stuff and gives a release date for the album and none of her wedding shit or announce a pregnancy or something because I will fume. I can't believe she has done ONE appearance to promote the single.

I am in total SHOCK and AWE at the blatant HOMOPHOBIC WAYS of the producers of Big Brother Canada rigging the vote so that the FAT LYING TEACHER won. Truly in utter disbelief that in 2013 the media is still pushing the gays off of television. Just disgusting.

Does anyone in this thread stan for Celine Dion? I never see anyone mention her along other legends like Mariah, Whitney, Shania, Madonna, etc.

WrestleGAF has summoned PopGAF, apparently.

No, I don't know hew that is in the picture.

Google Image Search finds it it this person: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4284529/

It reminds me of someone that either B-Dex or G-Fex or Z-Mex or &-$ex used to have as their avatar though, I could be wrong. >_>

Ugh now I am reminded that Global Legend Queen Shania has yet to even mention blessing us peasants with new music. Let me go weep while listening to her iconic Greatest Hits.

Also, funny how everybody lately wants Miguel up on their tracks but no one asks for Francis. Botty, Roy and me clocked this tea a while ago. Miguel is the superior artist *.*

Sounds more like Miguel is the better pass-around party bottom. He might be good at turning tricks but that ain't art.

True. I mean, Nicki Minaj probably has more features accumulated in the past few years than any other artist gets over their entire careers. That sure doesn't mean she's not a shitty artist who generally either adds nothing to a song or straight up ruins it.

Metacritic simply serves the tea.

Miguel's label is making it obvious what they think of him with all of these collabs. A b-tier artist of the Xtuba variety, collabing left right and centre because they can't compete on quality.

Frank remains unbothered.

Haven't you ever noticed that the only people who hate Metacritic tea are the ones who are always scalded by it?

ise0W44Yk5kYR.gif

Roy and botty hate it because it demonstrates that Xtuba's career is not the glittering, critically acclaimed trend-setter they delusionally allege it to be, but the c-tier turd that real people know it to be.

DMJ and ITZ hate it because it demonstrates Robyn 'Rihanna' Fenty to be categorically the Inferior Robyn, her best album being less critically acclaimed than Robin 'Godbyn' Carlsson's worst-reviewed album.

Their seething is music to my ears.

nnnnnn @ Metacritic's blurb on Channel Orange though. Evidence of botty's internship there?

The difference in Miguel and Frank's metacritic scores isn't that big. They're both fantastic, and it's a shame that they're constantly being pitted against each other.

It truly is a shame that the Miguel stans are not happy with their 2nd place and feel the need to keep trying for the Queen's Throne, I agree.

GOODBYE

I have never said I hated metacritic. I don't really care whether her shit rates high or not because I enjoy it. I'm truly unbothered with how other people feel about her music.

SIT.

That's why you turn out and get messy every time somebody says something bad about Rih.

BYE. I've never dismissed Metacritic tho. In fact I would use it regularly if it werent for the baboons who get offended everytime it gets pulled out.

Anyway, Miguel has had BIGGER HITS than Frank, his album is selling more than Frank's now and has been doing so for months. I mean Frank is not even in the top 150 albums on Billboard and Miguel is. Oop.

Slow and steady wins the race gurls. Ya'll should know by now.

I'm not disputing any of this, merely that it has no bearing on their relevant quality.

They're both high quality artists, as per your metacritic receipts.

The difference being that radio and now the buying public (both albums and singles) are responding to Miguel's quality better.

So the buying public is homophobic? Frank Ocean's more challenging and artistic sound puts stupid people off?

What's new.

Well, since you brought up albums, channel Orange has sold over 500k copies (and this was back in February I believe) while Miguel is still somewhere in the mid 300k's. And this rate, I'm sure Miguel will catch up in 2015.

Metacritic receipts are unreliable in practically every way and should never be used unless:
A) you're comparing two artists who make the exact same type of music.
B) their material is scored by the exact same reviewers at the exact same time using the exact same metric.
C) all the reviews counted come with a score explicitly stated, and don't leave it up to metacritic itself to interpret the intended score of the review.

Since none of this will EVER happen, metacritic is thus inadmissible as tea.

Actually both figures you present are from February. Miguel's album has been about 80 spots ahead of Frank's album for most of this year.

A gap that will surely continue thanks to Miguel's better exposure in urban (both AC and regular) than Frank. If this continues, and I dont see why it wouldnt, it'll be by the end of the year that Miguel will be at Orange's numbers.

Actually, what other exposure has Frank had in the last year beyond the media speculating who he is dating and his instagram pics of sex toys?

How telling that the only thing of note with Frank is his love/sex life and on the other hand Miguel is all about the music

Yeah, no. Reviews have their problems, but I think they are legit to use from time to time.

There are people who call sales inadmissible as tea, airplay as inadmissible as tea, locality inadmissible as tea, music video views inadmissible as tea, hell....... even personal opinions on music quality have been treated inadmissible as tea. Just because something isn't perfect doesn't make it irrelevant.

If we start down the UGLY road we may as well close up shop and just go home.

I only use metacritic for games due to the amount of reviews they amount
I try not to touch anything that gets below a 70

It doesn't make sense to use it for music for me since listening to an album isn't the same as playing a game

I agree on some level. When deciding purchases I think music reviews are FAR less reliable than game reviews for determining personal enjoyment.

I still think they are decent measures of critical reception though.

There is so much inherently wrong with using someone else's opinion to decide your own personal enjoyment of any form of media.

And I put out at least one review a week.

How insecure in your own WRONG opinions do you have to be to run to metacritic for evidence of quality? There is a reason why Metacritic is constantly disregarded from true conversations of quality, and it's because the website is full of FUCKSHIT. They seem to accept the opinions of any cunt who can rack up 1000 views on their website, and then they adjust the review's grade/score to fit their grading system. Some how The AV Club's grade of A for Channel Shittage is worth 100 points, but Kaleidoscope Dream's A- is worth 91 points. Now try factoring in this dumb as fuck grading adjustment to each of the irrelevant websites that throw their scores on metacritic and you have a whole lot of fuckery going on.
But maybe you care about opinions of "Absolute Punk," and "Delusions of Adequacy." The latter which spent most of the time complementing Francis' voice of all things. #DEATH

And I love how you have been trying to claim Xtina is "c-tier" as if she isn't a bigger name than all of your faves. It's not like in the midst of her worst selling album she wasn't snatching awards, and praise from people who actually matter: Time, numerous award shows, actual vocalist, and other music industry juggernauts. So you can continue licking the saggy testicles of metacritic, while the Xtina stans relish in the fact that people who MATTER and actually know their shit love The Legend. Including Your FAVES

Now take a damn seat.
