jaffe was right. they're the same people who act so jaded and complain about next-gen gameplay or how games focus on gfz all while praising the division to hell and back because it looked good graphics-wise.

I don't know, I would be very surprised if Ubisoft didn't send some AT ninjas over to win the PR battle on the Internet. They were always masters of first impressions.
 
Just a question, why is port begging bannable?
Yeah, I know its lame, but why ban people for this?
Im asking out of pure curiosity, I have a PS4 and PS4 only.

It also often ends derailing threads into console war bullshit and stuff like that so this kills that before it starts. It's a good rule for keeping things sane.
 
I don't get the hype for that game. It looks interesting though.

Also this is my first post on this board. Glad to be here.
 
A hype like that for an exclusive game it's incredible...

Like i said, it will be hard for both Sony and Microsoft to announce a bigger game than Project Beast !

Personally, not. I wanted to play Dark Souls 2 though. But I was busy with my PS4 and as I kept reading interviews, I've somewhere seen an article that Dark Souls 2 might get a PS4 port. So, I skipped the PS3 version. But I think they've confirmed it's not going to PS4.

So, if this is a new Souls Game, that might be my first game of the series.

Welcome :) The souls series is worth playing and if you still have your ps3, a vast majority of gaffers including myself, would recommend the souls series. Believe the hype :p

Souls is the kind of series that each entry deserves to be played. It's not like a sports franchise, where a newer one makes last year's entry irrelevant. Grab Demon, Dark, and Dark 2 as soon as you can. Won't regret it.
 
At least play Demon's. Though Dark Souls II seems to have the best community. Mainly because you don't get invaded 24/7, like in Demon's, and online play actually works, unlike Dark.
 
Replayed Demon's Souls for the first time in about three years to get myself hyped again. Reminded myself why it's literally the single best game I've ever played (I like it better than DkS1).

Fantastic first playthrough. Got through much more easily than I thought I would. Solo'd it for the first time. Started my second playthrough just so I could level up and use the 150k souls I had built up. Got cocky and lost them all forever because I tried fighting the red eye knight and the two red phantoms behind him (for some reason world tendency was pure black). I guess that's a good place to stop lol.

Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, Witcher 3, FFXV (believe!).....2015 has potential to be one of the greatest gaming years ever.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, you can still do it in certain threads. It's mostly banned in game announcement threads so they wont turn into port pegging platform wars shit, which would turn off those who want to talk about the game.
 
You know you have a gem on your hands when a game is leaked and has people that have never played the others in the series interested.

Based Miyazaki, From Team A, and SCEJ must deliver. My hype for this is through the roof.

Since this is pretty much confirmed to be happening all I need is a confirmation of the return of 2k football and I can die a happy man.

Dont forget, The Order is also pushed back to 2015. Then there's gonna be more crazy stuff announced at E3. 2015 is going to be the year of the wallet. Oh and Batman v Superman comes out as well :3

Rules should be even stricter, the previous thread turned into a list war between MS and Sony exclusives, it's pathetic.
A potential masterpiece is revealed but for fanboys it's just ammo. Sad stuff.
 
Love that giant backstep, it really needs to be a better option in PvE because rolling outclasses it so much.

I really hope FROM will balance melee vs. ranged in the next game. I just completed DS2 on PC and I can't get over the fact that magic/ranged is so much more powerful and easy to use. I went with a Cleric build and it's just way too easy.

It's okay that one type is a bit stronger than the other. But seriously, a few lightning spears and anything resembling an enemy object is dead.

Step 1: spells should not be able to do so much damage. Instead of slow spells that do 2500 damage, quick spells that do low damage will make the gameplay less cheap.

Step 2: Enemies and bosses should charge at you as soon as you hit them. One of the stupidest things in this series is how you can hit enemies , run away and repeat. Enemies should chase.

Step 3: More varied spells. The sword one is a cool addition. Maybe a flamethrower one.

A part of me kind wants magic to not be in this game at all.

Swords, guns and pyromancy.

Personally I liked the gritty and torn up look of the armor. Since you're always rolling around and fighting enemies often your armor or clothes shouldn't be clean.

Well yeah, in a perfect world the press would be hyping games like this, Wonderful 101 and X, but I guess the audience isn't large enough. At this point I'm just very happy these games are made. :)
 
I'm the only that thinks that Online in Demon's Souls us the best of the souls games?

I loved... even the invasions.

Souls series is a multi million seller. It shouldn't be compared too stuff like W101 or X which are far less popular.

This game will definitely get a lot of press, just like Dark Souls 2, as soon as its officially announced.
 
I hope this game has an even larger more detailed interconnected world than Dark Souls 1. Biggest bummer about Dark Souls 2 is how they took a step back in that respect.
