It actually can. If you combine it with a poison sword it transforms into "Sword of Friendzone".

When wielded by male undead it causes massive poison damage to any friendly female npc.

When wielded by female undead for every male npc killed they lose their humanity.

And because we know the leaks they won't be surprises. The problem is: surprises are the key for a cool E3 press conference. If Project Beast was supposed to be Sonys "megaton" it'll be much less effective now. And that's why I hate leaks just some time before big events.

You mean triple dips. Original Rumor thread, this one, and the actual reveal. And then ride the hype train all the way to release.
 
Visuals don't look great. But then From is not known for their tech. I was hoping this time with sony's help they will be able to achieve much better visuals. Hopefully they look better in full E3 reveal. 1080/60 would be great for PS4 and quite doable.
 
I still think this was deliberate leak from the beginning

But this is fantastic, can't wait to see more.
 
Going by the trend in Souls games of decreasing dog lethality, Project Beast zombie dogs will ineffectually try to snuggle you to death.

JPS Kai said the trailer was shown a while back in a private pre-E3 stream for retailers and that Sony is pissed about the leak.

The fact that someone out there has the trailer and is leaking bits and pieces rather than just uploading the whole thing makes it seem more like a controlled leak than anything, but everything we've heard so far points to a lone renegade wreaking havoc on Sony's E3 plans.
 
I would love to play this game, since I loved playing Dark Souls I and II. But it's probably going to be a PS4 exclusive, and there's no way I'm buying a €400 console for just one game. If Sony was so kind as to release it on PC, though...

Just feel like I've got my fill and don't really *need* another one, especially after their Lethal Weapon 3. (though I do realise most of the good people weren't working on DS2 and have instead been doing Beasts)

Still, hope it's good.

If Dark Souls 2 are the bad as it gets with FROM, I guess I will be just fine.
 
The more I watch, the more I really start to believe this is a new Shadow Tower game.

The guns, the quick cut to first-person as the character goes through the fog door, character design, etc.

It all fits.
 
Off-topic I know, but did everyone's avatars just disappear? I'm on mobile and everyone is now a rectangular box.

I think as Demonite has hinted before this is a Demon's Souls spinoff new IP for Sony. Familiar enough to attract the Soul's fans and different enough to build it's own identity. At least that would be the best case scenario from a business point of view imho
 
Unholy Fuck.

My hope is that this has nothing to do with "Souls" anything. I hope From was able to create whatever the eff they wanted without restriction of what was done in the past.

Judging by motion and brief battle, we wont need to worry about it veering too far off into casual land.

If they are trying to build a new franchise, this is the time to do it, early in the lifecycle of a new generation. I'm starting to buy into the theory that this may be a Shadow Tower reboot/sequel even though Demon's Souls 2 seems like the best branding from a sales potential perspective.
