How someone obtained this would be very hard to guess, but there could be good reasons why they don't know the name.

Most obviously it might not have a name. Dark Souls was announced as Project Dark. Or it could be Bloodborne or whatever, but they just don't have an up to date version of the trailer, because they're difficult to come across.

Shadow Tower had guns, and the "Project Beast" font looks like the Shadow Tower font. Not the best evidence in the world, of course, but interesting nonetheless.

I think I would actually be happiest with either Shadow Tower or an entirely new IP, rather than it being a strict "Souls" game. (Saying this as a huge Souls fan.) Would love to see what else they could make using the same basic formula but with a different approach.

Shadow Tower was like an updated King's Field so fans should fit right in. Whatever the case, the 3rd person view seems like its catering to Demon Souls fans and weapons might be a throw back to Shadow Tower so Demon's x Shadow Tower would be even better.

With The Order releasing in February of 2015, one would think that this would probably be released in fall of 2015.

Then again, Uncharted is set to come out next year as well, most likely next fall. That would give Sony two big games for next year - one in early 2015, and one in late 2015.

That leads me to believe that this game is either TBA (2016), or could POSSIBLY be coming out this year...

After calming down, I'll add my first nitpick. Those dead leaves need to be whipped all around the air by wind and fighting, and the vegetation needs animation. Need wind man. Bring that dead world to life with environmental physics. Art direction kept getting jimjammed in Souls because of sub-par technical flibbyflabs. Time to overcome that, From! Cool hat protagonists needs some wind! Please don't be cross-gen..

If this was truly the megaton finale and I was Sony. I'd just say fuck it, and bust out a full 5 min boss battle during e3, balls to the wall.

Why the fuck would a franchise that sells 1-2 million be the grand finale at E3 for Sony this year? only niche game that could garner that attention is TLG, unless Sony has nothing else. I'm gonna call bs on that and I'm buying this game day 1.
 
I unfortunately haven't been able to delve into the Souls games (except for a little Dark Souls 2 when I rented it for a day). After that taste, I plan to. This looks pretty awesome, though I'm not sure about the whole shotgun thing.

There's that. But I think the more shocking thing is that we're all losing our shit over a third-party exclusive when Sony still has an insane amount of potential for megatons given how many first-party studios they have now and how we basically know fuck all about what any of them are doing. Like, if Sony is going to top this, how would they do it?

These Project Beast webms are my Viagra. If I had a girlfriend, I'd be making her so happy right now, but I don't because I play Dark Souls 2 all the time.

But now I have to buy a PS4. fml.
