Not to be THAT guy, but you are judging leaked footage and discounting it because it looks like "a Souls game but blurrier" I fear you've completely missed the point.
This is a game exclusive to the most powerful console today--- BY the director of one of the most beloved franchises last gen. People have a right to be hyped and excited. Put two and two together.

Why ppl shouldn't be excited?
What is the actual chance of this coming to other platforms besides PlayStation 4 as the obvious choice? We know that Demon's Souls was PS3 only due to Sony's help (I presume funding and developer time), however would From and Kadokawa Corporation (their new owner) want to restrict it to one platform? Its clear that the series has a rather strong reception now across multiple platforms, so it will be really interesting to hear if it is one platform and hopefully why it is.
Either way, this game will be amazing with what we have had so far in the Souls series. I can't wait to see what gruelling encounters we face and what online changes we may find. Whatever platform it is on, I can comfortably say it will be an amazing title.

We don't really know yet. It's likely either a sequel to Demon's Souls, or a spiritual successor to those games. Either way, it's a game by the same developer with likely the same general feel and mechanics. Those games are some of the best ever made in my opinion, so another game like it by From makes me super excited.

It looks longer but it's just the way it's being held sideways. I cropped the picture and flipped it 90 degrees and the handles match up.
Depending on implementation, guns could function a lot like spells. Strong, but limited use (only get new shells at bonfires or whatever), with a large time between firing/reloading time.

There is a good chance it may release on the PS3 as well. However if they are developing the game with Sony other consoles are out of the question. (PC is a possibility, though it is remote)

God damn it, From Software releasing a game makes me feel like a little kid again. There's that feeling of anticipation and almost child-like wonder. Was a little disappointed in DkS2 once I got my hands on it, but hopefully this will be better with Miyazaki at the helm again.

Gun, crossbow, whatever. Basically the same... if they limit them to 2 shots or less. 2 shots would make it different than a crossbow or bow, but with increased reload time.... I could see it working.

demonite (SCE employee) has been teasing us for moths before the leak about beasts.
I just hope that those rumors Thuway heard are false because I always assumed
TLG would get that grand finale moment. Potentially having a Soul-ish game close
out the show makes me assume that TLG won't be at the conference.

Going exclusive has it's perks and From has a great relationship with Sony. Keep in mind, the Souls series wouldn't be around were it not for Sony's involvment in the first place. Being exclusive means Sony gives them a lot more attention, probably pays for development, pays for advertising, and exclusives tend to get a lot more attention in general. The majority of sales came from PS3, so making it PS4 exclusive does make a lot of sense.
They have the B-Team working on Dark Souls 3 for everyone else in the meantime as well, so it's not like they'll stop putting Souls on other consoles. It just means that Soul fans deciding which console to get will have an easy choice to make now.
