I think we'll probably get rifles and shotguns that are analogous to bows and crossbows, with the advantage would be that they're one-handed and that they're hitscan as opposed to projectile weapons, and the trade-off being less damage and longer reload times.

It's the new gen. I'd think some leaves would rustle while you run or fight over them. Last gen had bodies just disappear after you kill them. I'd say something similar if I noticed that.

I think the game looks great, but yes, it's something I noticed.

I'm still excited for Deep Down.
But if I'm being honest I was mostly interested in it as a stand in for a new gen Souls game. Haha

True, but what the company has shown has been impressive.

I am not saying that means the final product will live up to initial expectations, but the fact that it's "free to play" isn't intrinsically bad.

There is a way to do it correctly even though most have completely screwed it up, haha.
 
F2P and procedurally generated dungeons were killer for Deep Down's hype.

The former is stigmatic for a number of reasons, but more importantly it means that monetisation aside, Deep Down's game design is focused on repetition of cycles through dungeons continuously.

And procedurally generated dungons puts things in a strange place where it seems like what we see is practically what we're going to get 90% of the time. Beautiful medieval vistas, large castles... it seems highly unlikely we're ever going to get those, and all we're getting is probably procedurally generated grim dungeons.

While things can change, it does not give a good expectation going forward.

Unless I missed something all the original WebMs had no text with no info with them. The logo and text (and the involvement of Japan Studio) was all just anons from 4chan.

It was one anon from 4chan. The same anon that leaked the webms in the first place. The same anon that leaked the screenshots previously.

I can't find the original posts from 4chan, but the initial leaks included a description of some parts of the trailer not in those original screengrabs.

Is there anything in these WebM's that was mentioned in the trailer description but wasn't in the original screengrabs?

That's one way to prove whether any of the other stuff we know outside of the screenshots/WebM's is false or embellished in any way, unlikely as that is.

The first time the thread leaked with the screenshots, it indeed did not have include the 'Japan Studio statement.'

But the 2nd thread where the webms leaked, the very post that attached the webm ( aka it could only be written by the leaker ) mentioned Japan Studio.

Also, the 2nd time round, that person posted under a tripcode ( aka trigfag ) 'notsonyrep' with a distinctive tripcode that meant no one else can fake being him, even when he wasn't posting screenshots.

Jesus Christ man, it's almost not worth explaining this shit anymore. People will continue to ignore the part of the leak that's inconvenient to them. Probably best to ignore them for your own sanity lol
 
Where's the proof that this is ps4 exclusive? I've been away all day and missed this.

I remember it different. But i'm not sure of the time lime. If the thread that I was in was the first time they got posted. All i saw was anon posting webms with no text.

For the record I got a PS4 (Xbone and WiiU) so i'm covered. I still don't buy into the Japan Studio part but if they are involved I hope its a return to Demons Souls form.

Ah, shit, I thought there had been a screenshot posted from the original leak with the same tripcode user, but apparently I was incorrect. Still, the guy who provided the webms said it outright.
