Does this mean a 60fps Bloodborne?? Or was that game locked @ 30?

Are you triggered? Are you trying to sound smarter than Mark Cerny?
If they want to make PS5 Boost Mode meaningful they need to make it like PC where you can force Vsync Off and Framerate Cap off at the system level and forcibly apply it to games no matter what the game wants to do
Unfortunately locked. Along with Kingdom Come Deliverance, The Last Guardian, and Red Dead Redemption 2 to name some other noteworthy games.Does this mean a 60fps Bloodborne?? Or was that game locked @ 30?
I just finished this game and RoboCop looks amazing in quality but runs like trash. Performance is very playable but looks like trash.I booted up robocop the other day.
Performance mode.
Holy shit is it blurry.
This will be huge for me.
Toshimasa Aoki, Product Manager for PlayStation, has reconfirmed details on the PS5 Pro Game Boost feature, which was previously mentioned by lead architect Mark Cerny during the console’s announcement a few weeks ago.
PS5 Pro Game Boost is able to vastly improved the performance of more than 8,500 backwards compatible PS4 games, but it’s also able to apply some of its magic to PS5 titles. Specifically, Aoki-san revealed that even if a title is not PS5 Pro Enhanced, then Game Boost can improve things providing the game has unlocked frame rate and resolution.
PS5 Pro Game Boost Reconfirmed By Sony Exec, Games With Unlocked Frame Rate/Dynamic Resolution Will Automatically See Improvements - PlayStation Universe
An Sony executive has reconfirmed details on PS5 Pro Game Boost following comments by Mark Cerny.www.psu.com
You forgot the Netflix and Disney sellout buttons.Nope.
Game boost isn't a thing, it's just a name they attached to the natural thing that happens to variable res/framerate games when you improve hardware.
They did nothing to achieve this outside beefing up hardware.
You were probably one of the annoying kids screeching "blast processing" during recess
FF7 integrade already looks to be really sharp and crisp on ps5 with no frame rate issue, so it will be the same. FF16 could benefit in terms of frame rate, but don't expect the frame rate mode to be crisp as it was 720p in battles and around 1080p outside of battles. Will Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade and Final Fantasy 16 benefit from this?
Not true at all, 99,99% the game is 60fps locked.85% at most. it drops a lot in some spots. and due to PS4 games not supporting VRR at all (which is ridiculous tbh) every single drop is instantly noticeable
I am curious to know who said that, and even if someone was delusional enough to say it, I doubt that makes them experts.me, but GAF experts told me that Zen 2 inside Pro will magicaly perform 2x better so I believe them.
You were probably one of the annoying kids screeching "blast processing" during recess
Just don't expect insane improvements like from PS4 to PS5. GPU Overclock is very small this time (around 5%). Improvements will come from bandwidth increase (around 30%) which could also help CPU limited games.
On PS4 Pro and PS5 the boost mode improvements came only from the overclocks. People need to temper their expectations. So going from 36 CUs to 60 won't make any difference?
Boost doesn't mean clock only
On PS4 Pro and PS5 the boost mode improvements came only from the overclocks. People need to temper their expectations.
Its misleading as fuck and I hate it. Pretty much nothing includes the tax here in Canada. You just get hit with it on checkout.Wow. Why not include taxes in the price? That really annoys me as a Brit. All prices you see on UK retailers have VAT (Added Value Tax) included. No body has got time to work out the after tax prices!
Well it's 5% faster with a 30% faster memory. It should already help in many games where bandwidth is constrained, it could even help CPU limited games because it should alleviate CPU/GPU memory contention. We'll see. It's impossible for PS5 Pro as the GPU clock is basically the same of the base model
The difference here is that the GPU itself is 67% larger....
There's no way that "boost mode" won't enable the 24 added CUs
So exactly like PS4 Pro's boost mode, like many already speculated.
When they introduced the GST in Canada in the early nineties the retailers fought hard to display prices before tax and limit the psychological effect of the sales tax. And now we're here.Wow. Why not include taxes in the price? That really annoys me as a Brit. All prices you see on UK retailers have VAT (Added Value Tax) included. No body has got time to work out the after tax prices!

7 Remake is a bit sharp on performance mode with no frame rate issues however I do hope it deserves the Rebirth treatment (fidelity mode 60fps). Fidelity mode on Remake is really sharp but 30fpsFF7 integrade already looks to be really sharp and crisp on ps5 with no frame rate issue, so it will be the same. No just calling out people that think they know more than they really do. But if you’re right you can respond back in a couple months when the experts have a real opinionAre you triggered?
Oh you are triggered for sure. Boost mode is nothing new, and there are games that are cpu limited. It's stating the obvious that many people already know. If you are triggered by that, you need help.No just calling out people that think they know more than they really do. But if you’re right you can respond back in a couple months when the experts have a real opinion
We will not we live on copium!!!On PS4 Pro and PS5 the boost mode improvements came only from the overclocks. People need to temper their expectations.

I don't think this is a definitive list, it kept giving results in batches, and I got bored, but definitely a few from my backlog in here that will benefit also a load that will be getting Pro patches anyway, but thought I'd keep them in just for context.
- Unlocked Framerate: No (60 FPS locked)
- Dynamic Resolution: Yes (Resolution adjusts dynamically to maintain performance)
"What PS5 games have unlocked framerates or dynamic resolutions? Can you list all of them along with if they have unlocked framerate, resolution or both please"Thank you. What was the request you gave to get this list?
Ok thanks."What PS5 games have unlocked framerates or dynamic resolutions? Can you list all of them along with if they have unlocked framerate, resolution or both please"
It outputs in batches, so I had to keep on asking for more. Also it did output:
Bloodborne (PS4 version on PS5)
But I removed as it was not really a valid result.
- Unlocked Framerate: Yes (Fan-made patches on the PS4 version can unlock framerate, but no official patch yet)
- Dynamic Resolution: No (No scaling on PS5, resolution remains the same)
Elden ring is not a technical masterpiece, without a patch I don't think it will be locked 60 as the it seems more to be CPU limited (even the PC version is not that easy to get to 60).Elden Ring for sure will be locked 60. BG3 probably will run the same, but GAF experts told me that Zen 2 inside Pro will magicaly perform 2x better so I believe them.
A warning they already issued with some PS4 games on PS5 in the begining anyway...Senran Kagura EV for example still exhibits terrible artifacting on PS5 4 years on,AC Syndicate only in the last year or so became playable without the major artifacting before so it's not like they couldn't have done it, It's not like people would sue them for some shit they don't even advertise and specifically put warnings about...but nooo Sony just hates their own fans and would rather keep incredible stuff like Bloodborne and Driveclub prisoners to 1080P/30fps for eternity.I know. You go almost illegal by Jailbreaking a PS5 and can play at rocksolid 60fps RDR2, Bloodborne, DriveClub and basically every game you can imagine, some only ever playable on Sony consoles.
You pay $700 for an hardware upgrade and can only play those countless 30fps PS4 games at 30fps.
I get those 30fps-only games could manifest issues once brutally unlocked, but you just put a classy warning on your toggle and leave the choice at the hands of your enthusiast, paying user.
God I fucking wish. You can play it at 60fps without patching it up to the part where you run through that tunnel high in the air on the way to the final tower. Then you need to patch it, play that tunnel section and re-install to play the ending at 60fps.Still waiting on that framerate unlock for The Last Guardian
To be clear, yes, I absolutely believe FF16 is hard coded to drop to 720p the second it drops into battle. Digital Foundry confirmed as much, the game could be running 1600p with the enemies on screen, and the second the battle theme changes, the game drops to 720p and never increases, that's hard coding.I think you're assuming that FF16 isn't dropping to 720p because of the dynamic resolution and the games call for 60 fps in battle, but the developer actively setting a lower resolution in battle. We'll see, but I don't think that's the case.
How many games this gen are locked to 30? Most games run or try to run at 60 fps this generation and dynamic resolution has been heavily utilized this generation, because people don't mind as much dropping from say 2160p to 1800p or 1600p, but PS5 Pro instantly fixes that.
Most PS4 games ran at a locked 30 fps with a locked resolution... Boost mode is a bigger deal this generation than last.
