PS5 Pro owners, how silent is your unit? Any noticeable Coil Whine?

Mine seems fine. Had THE FINALS running earlier and couldn't hear anything unless I put my ear down next to the machine itself and even then it didn't sound any louder than the OG PS5.

Fuck, I'm going to have to sleep downstairs in the bright ass living room to not miss my shipment...

Edit: Tracking says it should arrive today. I presigned. Never had any issues with porch pirates so far..

My original PS5 has noticeable coil whine in Forbidden West menus.
When i get mine (not sure when), this is the first game i will test for coil whine.

Quieter than my original PS5 Disc Edition and that was practically silent! I'm currently installing games and it's barely audible!

Sony must have implemented better sound proofing.

As a gentleman in his 40s my body has conveniently evolved to not be able to register any high pitched whining
I recently noticed that my launch day PS5 no longer has coil whine. It was very noticeable the first few months. I'm not sure if it's because I can no longer hear it, or if it actually stopped.

In the menus it's quiet, quieter than my PS5 before. Didn't try a game yet, downloading. So far, so good.
(I dislike the USB A to C not being in the front anymore. My headset dongle is in the back now, hopefully there won't be any interference or sound drop outs)

I'm guessing when you click to start a game the fan will instantly ramp up and it will be at least as loud as the slim. Keep us posted.

On topic: very silent

Off topic: ps5 - ps5 data transfer not working for anyone else? I'm on the same network and it's not working. Tried via ethernet and wifi and it keeps giving me an error after a long wait.
The error message is a simple "can't transfer data"

This is relevant to me.

i didnt try this method, i just move my M2 SSD to my PRO, and reinstall the game and set up the settings again.

Have a feeling the data transfer feature works wonky.

So far the fan is noticeably louder than the OG console. Not loud, but louder. Haven't noticed coil whine yet though. Not over the fan anyway.

One thing I will never trust the internet about...

"Its quiet! Totally silent! I can't hear anything!"

Quiet in menus and home. A little louder fan wise when gaming. Nothing bad at all but louder than I would have wanted. Best console for noise had to be the series x but I sold that as was not used. My launch PS5 was quieter by a tiny amount.

I only had coil whine with OG unit in Horizon 2.
No whine with Pro, but a more noticable fan sound.

EDIT: Now that I have downloads complete and just run Horizon 2, it is nearly silent.

OG PS5 owner, my PS5 is as dead silent now as it was when i first got it years back. And thats after long gaming sessions. The only thing i hear and i have to put my ear right near the back of the console is a slight fan sound.
