We were always just getting 2 or 3 big AAA exclusive titles. It's the start of the gen man.

Truth. But I suspect people were expecting 10-15 new AAA IPs or something like that. This show is more like the trailer-reel Microsoft shows at E3. Fun for a short while, but eventually very underwhelming until the end, where the good stuff is shown.

At some point people just have to accept were further into the point of diminishing returns with graphics. It's going to take some crazy revolution, probably in display tech to wow us like moving from 8bit to 16bit, from 2d to 3d, from SD to HD etc.

I'm not disappointed as I just wanted to see games that appealed to me as I largely don't give a shit about graphics anymore. Hell, I've probably played handheld on my Switch more than I've played on my PC or PS4 Pro the past couple of years. I've seen a lot of games up my alley in this, and I'm getting more excited about PS5 just because it looks like there will be a lot more I want to play the first year+ of PS5 than was the case with PS4 and X1.
