That man is so hard to look at, if he doesn't have some kind of disease making this happen, it's probably an eating disorder he should get help for.
You do know they gave these to mostly positive Youtubers, Brad from GB's thoughts are "this ratcheting feeling is SO WEIRD"

I'm skeptical because I remember the Switch presentation where they showed off their incredibly great Ultra Rumble Deluxe with that gimmicky game and I was like "huh, interesting" and then no other game really used it and it was essentially a standard rumble.

Maybe Bloodworth just needs a makeover. I bet he would be a cool looking dude if he got on a makeover show. He does need to speak into the mic more during the podcast though.
I mean if he seriously needs help for an eating disorder, the man should get that ASAP. If it's a disease then he seems to be coping ok at least for the duration of the video.

It is really a beautiful console and smaller than the renders.
The only issue is the BD drivecrazy because I still choose the disc version but that BD drive is really a thing out o LC place on the design... I really wanted to see the DE.
And it doesn’t need the stand.
That and the glossy black makes the PS5 looks worse than it should. I "LIKE" the look of the PS5 myself, but the DE version will look better for sure.
The PS5 has a very futuristic design, very ballsy. I expected that kind of forward-looking design from Microsoft, really.
Microsoft's big one is shaped like a brick. That's fine if you like bricks. Microsoft's small one looks like a Nintendo product, cute.
At the end of the day, I will prefer the one that doesn't "red ring" because it packs too much heat in a small space.

Maybe, but I was never that impressed with my first impressions of the switch controller, this genuinely looks more interesting and meaningful and I can imagine a lot of cool gameplay implementations.
And before any accusations of being a hyped sony pony, I've only ever owned Nintendo consoles, never owned Playstation.

Very glad I'm going diskless. Save that 100 dollars from the start and get the better design to boot. I do wish they could have done better with the disk addition for everyone else though

I mentioned elsewhere, the design philosophy actually MAKES SENSE without the disc, again they could have chosen ANY SHAPE at all, since they did some crazy engineering to make their weird shape work. They should have considered how fugly this thing is WITH the disc drive.
It ain't pretty, but it really looks like a neat thingy to have.
The effect the disc drive has on the design.

I think they are using a technicality. The trophy popped up during a level they are allowed to talk about. Or maybe they cleared it with Sony PR.
I genuinely think that the DE version is going to become the only version in the future. I could see this happen midway through this generation when time comes for the PS5 slim to be released. They could also release an add-on USB Bluray drive for people who want to watch movies and have a library of disc-based games.
Personally, I have not bought a disc-based game in years. If digital games are reasonably priced and become discounted a few months after release to mimic what happens with disc-based releases, I am ok with it.
If I had to criticize one thing about the way the PS5 looks, it would be the ugly plastic molding marks on the back, around all the expansion ports. However, nobody will every look at those ports, so no issue.

This will never happen this Gen, people like having options. Not everyone has the funds to only purchase digital games that are usually more expensive due to late discounts vs. physical games.

In the bombcast this week they mentioned you can plug in usb headsets into the controller now. Not just the analog jack anymore.
