Uggh I want to know what he's talking about here!
I know, I do too. But, just knowing that it’s something and his tone and all of the others reactions...it sounds like it’s going to be incredible doesn’t it?

Should have waited for your timestamp, Jesus I had to endure 12 unskippable ads.
Hmm seems like a bit of improvement which gives me a little bit more hope.
I still believe we will get a lot of stick issues though.
Someone should make a tempest engine revolution thread. I'm really hoping the audio they got going on the ps5 is as good and upgraded hyped as the controller
I'm just looking at history.Sounds a bit more like you're hoping they won't
I don't know if yall saw this before but woah, this is what they meant by "the first time you feel your controller fighting back, you'll believe it". Looks incredible, can't wait to feel it.
Yeah, that kinect....I'm just looking at history.
All want to know is if PC games will support unique features of this controller. I will go and pre-order one now.
Standard usb c will work.I need to get a longer cable, anything I need to watch for or just a standard usb c?

wow.. well that's interesting, feel bad for you.. got mine last week, and seems awesome, of course can't use it yet.. but feels good in hands.Got mine today and I'm not sold on it yet. It's more hideous in person than in pictures. The texture on the back is more abrasive than the DS4, almost like a nail file, yet it's more slippery than the DS4 and provides less grip. It seems less comfortable to hold. The grips are too thick that it makes it hard for my right hand to get a comfortable placement to interact with R1,R2, face buttons, and right stick. As I hold it my pinkies grip half-way off the bottom inner edge, which at least isn't sharp but it's still an edge and its not comfy at all compared to the rounded edges of the DS4. Even the bottom outer edge of the grips push into my palms some. I was worried about these plate looking things on the controller since first seeing them and it turned out just like I had imagined. I really don't understand the choice to add hard edges to the design. There is one sharp spot on mine on the inside of the grip below the right stick, but I don't really hold it there except for with one hand off the controller and I can always sand it down with the texture on the back of my 2nd controller when that arrives. The buttons all feel good, nothing too noisy or anything. Only the d-pad is slightly too sticky of a surface and hard to slide my thumb across it, actually making a squeaky noise on the surface.
This is before playing any games with it of course. Maybe the roughness won't be so noticeable while playing. For now it's bring back painful hand memories of the Dreamcast controller, not even close to as bad though. The adaptive triggers and other features might make up for the loss in comfort once I can test that out.
I will get one once Gran Turismo 7 is released. There's no such thing as having too many controllers.I wouldn't bet on it unless you are getting a PS5.

its weird that it doesn’t bother your left hand since this controller is symmetrical
Watched this
video and great, Sony is using the exact same Sticks. So Stick Drift will be a problem, again! I can't believe they didn't give us something better. Every single one of my DS4 had Stick Drift. I don't throw my controllers or anything before someone says that, lol.
Pretty disappointed tbh and I was so looking for this.
It's already been mentioned above, but I can't help but think those mechanics for the triggers will wear and fail rather quickly. I mean, they are just plastic, or nylon or some other form of spaceage polymer formula. The gear teeth and the screw gear look almost guaranteed to fail within a year or two of heavy use. And you can't blame gamers for being too aggressive with them......you are not always aware of how hard you are being on the controller during an intense section of a game.
Also, it looks like the trigger uses a sort of ratcheting effect when you let go of the trigger. That too will wear quickly because it's plastic.
It looks like some of that mechanics should have used metal components for durability. But you know how corporations look at it......it only needs to last through the warranty period. And they'll be more than happy to sell you another one. Besides, plastic is cheaper than metal.

This thing is so damn cool. I can’t wait to use it. Sony did a kick ass job with this.
MLB: The Show will have a cool implementation of it I'm sure.
Are these currently available in stores? I might hit up Walmart and try to snag one. I need a new PC controller anyway.
So how precise can the haptics be? Pretty much stereo speakers for your hands, is the answer
Not only can you look forward to getting back into the battle almost instantly with super fast loading times, but we’re using the haptic feedback of the DualSense wireless controller to give players extra awareness of gameplay. You’ll be able to feel the natural ambience of this alien planet as the controller mimics its environmental effects.
Every weapon has an alternative firing mode, and each of these “Alt-Fire” modes can be found on any weapon. By using the Adaptive Trigger players can move seamlessly between aiming down sights and activating Alt-Fire: Squeeze it halfway down to aim down the iron sights; squeeze it all the way down to activate your rechargeable Alt-Fire attack. Switching between modes on a single trigger will become second nature in no time.
Funny, with remote play on PS4 the DS4 works with PS5 games:
Make it happen on PS5 Sony, i don't need those rumble gimmicks anyways. Don't want to buy new controllers.
