we haven't gotten a new one in six months now :-s
Team Gen has no interest in finishing one currently. They said that they were able to get something running, but the 6.xx kernel is different enough that most homebrew would break and everything would need to be re-compiled for the new homebrew. They weighed the pros and cons and ultimately decided that the few features that 6.xx brought to the table weren't important enough to force such a change within the homebrew community. They mentioned that it was similar to the 1.5x kernel -> 3.xx kernel shift from a few years ago. That, at the time, was necessary. Honestly, if they'd just release an updated POPSLoader plugin which supports POPS 6.00-6.20, I'd be pleased as punch. It should be fairly trivial since those have already been successfully decrypted. An updated POPS with 5.50 Gen-D3's current ability to decrypt newer UMD games on-the-fly would combine for near 100% current game compatibility.

But still can't play the demo. I was planning on getting it on PS3 anyway, so not a big deal, but kind of would've liked to try it out.
It's my understanding that PSNFucker (now PSNLover in more recent versions, btw) will not work with downloads that need to be authenticated. I still use my PS3 for that. I also got a ModNation Racers PSP demo voucher which I redeemed and downloaded to my PS3 last night. I've not yet transferred it over to my PSP, but I imagine I won't have any problems with that.

Well, not only the demo did *not* work (but now I don't care anymore, there's a bigger issue to solve) but my good-old Lumines2 savegame stopped being recognized by the game!
With a quick google search I found many hints that could lead to the firmware upgrade being responsible for the savegame appearing "corrupted" (actually, it seems fine on the XMB, it just won't load from the ingame menu).
So question is: did this *really* happen because of the just-upgraded custom firmware? If so, is it possible to somehow "fix" the savegame and make it readable again? Could a downgrade to previous firmware (5.00 M33) solve the problem without needing to mess with the savegame?
There's a homebrew app called Savegame Deemer which will probably restore "corrupt" saves that result from upgrading to a newer CFW from an older one.
