I got that too, just did it the old way =\Dragona Akehi said:Getting a DNS error when trying to update via Network... Guess it's time to do it the old fashioned way...

Then the answer is a resounding "NO!!"
The UMD format is a fucking blight.

Tideas said:really? Hmm, I wonder why some ppl mentioned it's faster to run a game off a UMD instead of a memory stick as far as faster loading time goes

NekoFever said:Yeah, I'm only a couple of hours in but it's been flawless so far. It was one of the first games I tried when D_A released Popstation and that version was a bit flaky, with the messed up battle swirls and stuff.
Now if only I could get that save off my PS3...
NekoFever said:I may have found a way to get my FFVII save to the PSP. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner, but my PS2 is modded and there's a homebrew file manager for it that lets you copy saves to a USB drive, and from there there are open source utilities to convert it to an ePSXe format and from there I can load it with CWCheat. I don't know if I'll have a chance to try it tonight but I'll put together a tutorial if it works.
It certainly works, I've done it for other games like Tactics Ogre, and it goes both ways ( PSP -> PSX too).NekoFever said:I may have found a way to get my FFVII save to the PSP. Dragona Akehi said:So I take it you're over the whole 3.80/3.90 debacle bit? Should I get my phat up to 3.90 now?
Mejilan said:Well, it is my understanding that the Sony ISO Loader is still borked. I've switched over to the M33 one until that gets resolved. However, it's a downgrade I'm willing to live with, for now, since Crisis Core seems to run perfectly. Problem dodged.
My other big issue was that jumping up to 3.80 without the benefit of a POPSLoader plugin killed Dragon Quest VII. I've since finished DQVII, and a new POPSLoader has come out. Problem solved.
As to the borked memory stick driver, DA's fatmsmod patch seems to be doing the trick. Problem solved.
I'm still keeping my fat on 3.71 M33-4, just in case. But I haven't felt any pinches since updating my slim to 3.90 M33-2 (and today, M33-3). But I've got a working Pandora to break my slim back down to 3.71 M33-4 (again), should it prove necessary.

Mejilan said:POPS = Sony's PSOne emulator for the PSP.
POPSLoader = special plugin to custom firmwares developed by Dark-Alex that allows you to store multiple versions of POPS in one configuration, and select which version of POPS you want to run with any given PSOne game. It's pretty much integral to maximize compatibility.
Firmwares (official or custom) only come with one version of POPS. For example, 3.90 (and 3.90 M33) only come with POPS 3.90.
You need to dump them from the original firmware update files.Ronok said:Where would I get the different versions of POPS? Am I even allowed to ask this?;;

Sh0k said:I bought an stamina battery today and I tried to open the original slim battery to see how small is the circuit board and to see if I can convert it into a Pandora battery, I was being very careful with an exacto knife and all of a sudden, a mini cloud of smoke and sparks came flying out of one side of the battery, the battery still works but it scare the shit out of me.
