PSP FIRST EMU !!!!!!!

Yup, thats not the only one either...are you guys crazy? We are talking about vbax right? Just to be sure my memory was correct, I just tried 3 random games on there (Bomberman Jetters, Castlevania COM, and Harvest Moon) and not a one of them was full speed!!! Unless there's some newer version of the emu but I'm pretty sure xport hasn't done anything for the past 6 months. When I say 'full speed', I mean 100%. Not 90% which is about what a LOT of gba games perform at on xbox.
 
what do you guys expect from the very first emulator that was made in no time at all. give them time to work everything out..sheesh people!

me and Jonnyram both said that we would not be updating the firmware ages ago, because we wanted to make sure nothing was being locked etc...

so we didn't - i could have swore we both mentioned it.

It's okay though - i'm sure the eventual outcome will be a "win" for teh hackers - i'm sure the US protection will fall pretty quickly.

Well then I'm stupid to have missed it. Bah.

I'm just worried that 1.5 users will never get any of this goodness. Here's hoping something comes out of that Wipeout hack.

Be wary. Whenever something exciting happens in emulation, fakers come out of the woodwork with claims and "screenshots" but no actual emulator is released.

This shot could easily be faked. Cap a Zsnes screen to JPG, stick on PSP, display, and take picture. I'll believe it when I have independent confirmation.
 
Yes, it could easily be fake. But I'm sure they'll get one out sooner or later. I'll keep watching for further info on this one anyway.
 
There is a SNES emulator (which is the picture posted above) it's supposidly a port of SNES9X and been running at moderate speed. This seems to be real because it's from the same coder whom released the GBC emulator "Mr. MIRAKICHI"

I'm hoping for a PSP Net Yaroze program. That would kick ass.

Don't buy a PSP now unless you can get a Japanese 1.0 version. It's not as though rev. 1.5 will be likely significantly easier to deal with than 1.5.1.
 
I'm more excited about seeing these emulators running on the PSP than any announced "real" PSP game so far. :lol

Exploit for USA 1.50 PSP please......

Seriously, 0.9 it´s quite amazing

I think this Metal Gear it´s better than the PSP one



I have been testing, old Konami collections I have tested work (playing twin bee, goemon and probotector... priceless).

Oracle of seasons still not working :( but all fighting games of Takara works a(KOFs, Samura Shodown...) and Street Fighter Alpha as well.

Yeah, Metroid one is a bit suspect but the emu sites seem pretty sure of the other one. Hope so anyway!
 
+ 1 reason to buy a PSP. Does the emulator have any issues? What’s the compatibility rate? Any crashes?

Well, it only works with 1.0 PSPs. The compatibility rate looks pretty nice, I have been tested like 15 games and no probem except for Oracle of Seasons and Nintendo Wars 3. Not very accurate, but I think it will be pretty high.

No music.

Haven't tried this for myself since I have a version 1.0 Japanese system, but it seems promising. Incidentally, RIN 1.0 is out and now supports game saves.

1. The only way to change your Firmware from 1.50 to 1.0 is to change the memory chip at this point.

2. The firmware files have been ripped, from the looks of it but everyone in the Dev community who's done it cannot access the files due to Sony's encryption.

3. It's not as easy as downloading 1.0 and trying to flash back, its MUCH harder then that so don't get your hopes up people.



To those doubting that there's no SNES emu I got it work but some games arn't compatible (Secret of Mana, Super Mario World) but there's a couple of games that run at moderate speed with no sound yet BOMBERMAN ON THE GO = MUCH FUN!

There's a new version of the SNES 1.0 released yesterday :D

Well here's hoping... but I doubt it, Sony's encryption is a pain in the a$$... I'm guessing since there's no flaw in the US version v1.50 like there was in the Jap we probably won't be seeing an update.
