I would *love* to have the home, expanded version of Ms Pac-Man in portable form. And many other games, too!
Hurry with the hack for 1.5 units!

It came to light on the forum last year... alas, I can't find it now.jgkspsx said:Do you have a link to this? Isn't there a large collection of prior art, from homebrews to Digital Eclipse's GBC games?
EGM92 said:What's so broken about it? is it the one that fell out of your pocket when you were getting off the bus?, you know you could always Ebay that for parts![]()
The new RIN now has full screen mode for games.Sho Nuff said:![]()

Belfast said:Well, it didn't fall out of my pocket. Idiot bus driver drove right over a curb and threw everybody around. My PSP was in my pocket and my hip was thrown into the railing.
But yes, it is that one. I probably should try to recoup some of the loss, but I wouldn't know how much to charge for it.

AtomicShroom said:In short, it's a sample buffer overflow hack that makes it possible to run arbitrary code on the machine. Now all it needs is for someone to code a loader and we're good to go! Very good news for 1.5 owners! Very good news indeed. *drools uncontrolably*
Depends on the ROM, I think... also it helps to do a clean boot.AlphaSnake said:Why does the SNES emu just hang after the PSP attempst to boot it?
Jonnyram said:Depends on the ROM, I think... also it helps to do a clean boot.
For the SNES emulator, I think you have to rename the rom to "ROM".whatever the extension. SNES emulation is only it beta form though so its abit slow but with sound.AlphaSnake said:What do you mean? How exactly is the emu supposed to be installed on the mem stick? The PSP can see it and shows its logo. But it freezes once the PSP jingle plays. I don't even get to the interface. What're the steps?
Edit: Ok, now it says no "Rom header file found". Wtf is that?
Yeah, it's pretty flaky for now. You're best leaving it alone for a while until it improves. There's plenty to go at with the much better NES, PC Engine and Game Boy emulators! Someone seems to be working on an MSX emulator now too...AlphaSnake said:Edit: Slut! It froze!
Go for Famicontest 0.3 instead of InfoNES. Although Famicontest runs at full speed, it has sound and graphical errors for some games.Marty Chinn said:Is there a good NES emu? The one I'm using seems to be ass slow.
EGM92 said:Oh ok, I knew it was something like that. Well as for charging for it, I'd say 120$USD is a good price, I know there are people shopping around Ebay for Broken or very cheap 1.00 Jap units so they can DEV with them, maybe even figure out a fool proof way to replace the firmware/bios chip.
isamu said:all these emulators coming out are cool I guess, but I would prefer them to just concentrate on one emulator at a time and just optomize it, instead of rushing out a slew of them that all run crappy.

iapetus said:No, but sometimes it's present anyway, and that would make me happy, as the owner of a 1.50 PSP...
Danj said:It's a shame that the PSP homebrew scene seems to have devolved into a collection of emulator ports and old games. Why can't somebody do something truly innovative, like write a web browser, an ebook reader or a wardriving app for it? Is it just that there aren't any developers doing PSP homebrew with enough skill for that sort of thing?
