PSP software CES screen orgasm (56k, run for your life. Seriously.)

That's it. The debate is over. Twisted Metal + Wipeout + Ridge racers = me getting the PSP over the DS.

Bingo. Me too. I'll wait until they are out, though.

Portable, networked TM (assuming it is) will be the killer app for me.

Gamespot is getting some good video coverage from the CES showfloor...hands-on playtime. Wipeout Pure looks great - a little stuttery maybe but everything else looks solid.

Those are really good looking screens. This is going to be one hell of a hardware war!
I'll even be nice and wish luck to Sony and their PSP.

Still have the DS pegged for the win, though :)

They may be graphically inferior, but Wipeout, Twisted Metal and Ridge Racers look like [a] better games than [its] their PS2 counterparts. Some of the others like Dynasty Warriors do look pretty inferior to the PS2 version, but then I never got into Dynasty Warriors to begin with.

Not yet.

What's with the shitty ship designs in Wipeout? Looks like someone had a little too long a look at Fzero. Ships in the third shot are great, but the other ones ... yikes.

Oh, that perfectly explains why it looks so awesome then. I was wondering about that.

He is playing TM with the D-Pad. :(

Edit: all the game are d-pad controlled. Some unwarranted hate directed at NintendoDS for having D-pad controls on analogue games. Seems that d-pad is the 'standard'. :P

Ahaha, you want to play TM with Analog? Good Luck.

It's like the PS2 launch all over again. Cool hardware but no one game is a must have, killer app. Just a lot of Namco and EA stuff I dont care too much about. I'll wait...for now.

PSP's launch is looking a hell of a lot more interesting then DS's.

For some odd reason, I'd prefer buying something like Tiger Woods for a handheld rather then a console.

A new Warhawk, eh? Your prayers may be answered sooner than you think... ;-)
Eh...I've heard that one before. If it were the first time I'd heard it, I'd thank you graciously for the tip, but I'm not getting my hopes up at this point.

Yes, it's an old rumor from questionable sources spread time and time again. In this particular case, though, it's no longer quite as questionable. ;-)

Wow, great line-up. It's good to see alot of ports for launch...a very smart thing to do. Not only does this save development time/cost, it will help sell the system based on familiar name brands. The average consumer will look at twisted metal, tiger woods etc. and say "wow i can play it on the go" which is the point, after all its called the playstation portable. More innovative/original games are sure to come soon, just not at launch.

If that really is true I'll cheer outloud.

*Covers ears*

Not listening! La laa la la laa...

*Sighs*

Alright, are we talking PSP, PS2 or PS3 here?

Tenchi no Mon looks awesome. I hope it get brought over to NA. If not I'll import it. I'd rather not because I won't understand the story but at least I'll have the luxary to do so ( I HOPE).

I noticed a major glitch in GS's spiderman video. Along the 2:20 minute mark (he's talking about gaming nuggets or something) he jumps up and the camera freaks out, for like 2 seconds, and spiderman just falls!
