Quantum Break screenshots (Remedy, Xbox One) and info

Looks like the same engine used by infamous 2.

Most likely this is going to be MaxFX 4.0, an update on the same Engine they have been using since Max Payne 1 and 2 and the Alan Wake series. Not sure what to think about the trailer, whats up with the live action, Is this like the return of FMV?

I'm always interested in what Remedy is up too... so I will keep an eye on it. I was one of those people who liked Alan Wake. Though I am disappointing that this isn't Alan Wake 2 :S .

Looks good, but I will wait for more details.

I was hoping for Alan Wake 2

Why? Alan Wake was awesome but the Story is told and the Gameplay will never be amazing in a world like Alan Wake. Just create a new ip with a new awesome Story and World, which does allow to create a good Gameplay around it.

Monarch Programming is a method of mind control used by numerous organizations for covert purposes. It is a continuation of project MK-ULTRA, a mind-control program developed by the CIA, and tested on the military and civilians. The methods are astonishingly sadistic (its entire purpose is to traumatize the victim) and the expected results are horrifying: The creation of a mind-controlled slave who can be triggered at anytime to perform any action required by the handler.

I swear the dad/man in the intro was Alan Wake(the "actor" that plays him). Is that his daughter...maybe?

This game from Remedy has piqued my curiosity more than any other.

made possible only on Xbox One.

God damn, I hate this kind of comments. If anything, games on both next-gen consoles are possible on both, just with difference in small things.

It looks fantastic even if the setup is a little hard for me to follow. I imagine that we will see a lot more of this at E3.

Hopefully it does well and that Remedy will take on AW2 next.

We don't know enough about the game to make that statement. It could be that all those unique cloud level experiences that were touched on a lot during the conference play a role in how this game is made.

This concept is really intriguing. My stream was breaking, and I missed the fact that it's attempting to have you build your own TV series. I really like the idea of games following the build-and-recede story-telling style of a TV season, as it suggests this game will rotate around interim plots building to a season arc. This sounds like a much better fit for a game than the more rigid three act play of films.

All I know is the Love Action Parts in the trailer did now flow well into the tiny bit of "gameplay" at all.
Actually they just made things worse.

Same thing I was thinking it felt weird to look at hehe, B movie acting quality with ok gameplay. hmmmmm What would be interesting is a Live gameshow where you can win games and prizes.

It's a real shame Microsoft had to completely alienate me from their console like they did. I really like Remedy.

Shame this is xbox one exclusive. I was hoping after how bad Alan Wake sold, remedy would have gone multiplat. :( Hopefully we still get PC version few years after...

Really interested to see where they are going with this thing. Hopefully it won't be like those Quantic Dreams games.

EDIT: Didn't Remedy make a statement about next gen being a "quantum leap". Lol, well done.

looks good

needs to see more to make a true judgement.

Remedy always impresses with graphics, I remember being blown away by max payne 1 back in the day and being shocked how much better max payne 2 looked on my friends xbox compared to my horrible ps2 version.

I haven't played an FMV hybrid game since the original Need for Speed: Most Wanted. That combo worked surprisingly well, hah.

...has there even been an FMV hybrid game since then?

All I can think about is Alan Wakes lengthy development cycle and Remedy's utter silence since then.

The game looks incredible, but I feel like Remedy could pull a Last Guardian or Versus XIII with this.

Terrible video, literally told me just about nothing. I have very little idea what's it about, and the little gameplay they showed was wholly uninteresting. One of the lowest points of the reveal, and it didnt sell me whatsoever.

The most impressive thing show today. In all honesty, I thought it was some low quality CG or some highly touched up in-game assets. beautiful lighting and great IQ.
The concept is intriguing.

i'm not so sure about this new tv fad

Why?

The idea that MS will be making TV shows and movies for their big IP's going forward is fantastic. MS has the resources, and has been hiring people to make great shows.

MS needs to focus on releasing content that gets me excited as a gamer. Just release tons of geeky TV shows. I just watched Halo Forward Unto Dawn on Netflix the other night and it was AWESOME. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are a Halo fan. If MS has complete creative control over their projects, I have high hopes that they'll be able to make great content. You can be cynical if you'd like, but so far I think MS has a good start with their Halo movie.

I'm actually surprised Sony hasn't taken this approach considering they own Sony Pictures. Uncharted or God of War could make great movies.

But back to the game... I think it looks really interesting. The boat scene was awesome. I love that Remedy is doing a new IP, but I do wish that they are planning to make an Alan Wake 2 eventually. Hopefully we get a demo at E3.
