Honestly the worst one I've ever seen. Aside from Returnal 2 (which is 2026), I wasn't interested in a damn thing. F tier.

C for me. Showed stuff I didn't care about, some stuff I do care about but already shown before, and then announced a few great looking titles.

Probably a B+. Lots of cool stuff. But no god of war Greek saga means those insiders/leakers all have dirty asses and I hope it squelches every time they sit down. I wanted that remaster set.

D for dead. Honestly don't know who is greenlighting some of these wack games. Also that state of play lady needs to go. She's a bad omen and everytime she's narrating, you know the show will be trash lol.

E

On paper there were some decent games shown.

But that's not what I'm ranking this on, Sony need to understand the optics here. What the fuck are their first party studios doing?

Hovering between B- and C+

Some notable moments for me:

  • Shinobi gameplay reveal
  • Sonic Crossworlds gameplay reveal
  • Digimon Story: Time Stranger
  • The Midnight Walk
  • Warriors: Abyss (Shadowdrop)
  • Onimusha Way of the Sword gameplay reveal
  • Hell is Us story bits and release date reveal
  • Lies of P Overture
  • PixelJunk/Q-Games: Dreams of Another
  • All 3 Armored Core PS1 titles coming to PS Classics
  • Tides of Annihilation
  • Metal Eden
  • Mindseye
  • Saros (Returnal Devs)

A lot of new I.P. reveals for those who are tired of remasters, sequels, and remakes.

Absolute bollocks. Shinobi & Onimusha 2 were the only decent games on show and I'll be getting them for pc & Switch.

Edit: Tides of Annihilation looked good. Nice arse.

Another fantastic state of play. Packed full of those trademark 1st party Sony bangers you've come to expect. It truly is the generation of generations.

E+

Ghost of Y will possibly be in the next SoP around May for a November release.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will have some upcoming news on March 9th.

I couldn't find any new IP that interested me but for sure there are more compared to what people complain about it.

These State of Plays remind me of the terrible E3 shows Xbox had in 2018-2019. Bunch of early access looking garbage.

D, for disastrous.

Some cool things in there, but overall pretty weak.

Highlight for me was Onimusha, because Hell is Us already looked cool when it was shown before.

The lack of Pro titles was insane.

I was honestly looking for a reason to get one, but still couldn't find it.

I'm not being bias but its actually the worse of all time. And PS exclusives are dead, the era is gone. Only Nintendo stand the test of time when it comes to exclusives.

This is Ryan and Hulst fault for focusing on woke infested GAAS and live service development. They wasted four years to create great exclusives.

Solid D because of Sonic(I guess?).

Now let us pray for all those poor clowns that were expecting Bloodborne. They are way too much brainrot, have mercy.

Started slow, the end was really fucking good though. Most of the games towards the end have my interest.

Overall there were probably 6 games off the top of my head that I have interest in.

I voted D. Interested in Saros and a couple other games, but this was massively disappointing and I had pretty much zero expectations going into it.

That being said, I think we've reached a threshold for the PS4 remasters where Sony doesn't really have anything left but to remaster Bloodborne.

I guess there was no native PS5 release for God of War 2018 though, so that might still be on the docket.

D+

Started great with Shinobi and Sonic. Had some cool parts like Days Gone and finished strong, but not strong enough. Too much shit I'm not interested in was shown. Sony haven't been on form for around half a decade now
Kind of can't keep making excuses for it.

B+

Those last 3 or 4 games a looked really good. It was slow until then, with a few exceptions. The sci-fi horror game from the Until Dawn team looks cool.

I can't believe we are getting a Returnal spiritual successor. Still one if the best games of the generation.

D

Other than Monster Hunter Wilds and Onimusha 2 & Way of the Sword, nothing interest me.
