They're actually growing the flu cultures in Tobacco leaves right now, I'm following this development closely because I'm the brother who's allergic to eggs and as I get older my egg allergy could eventually prove deadly if someone gives me the flu.

Hopefully we'll both be able to get vaccinated in the future and protect immunosuppressed people.

I'm also rooting for Monsanto with all my mighty weight because they're looking into hypoallergenic eggs via GMO. *crosses fingers*

That Razer sale... I do need want a new keyboard since this one has issues with keys sticking and repeating ad infinitum (software, not hardware). But I also want a mouse with some side buttons for MMO/Moba skills. GAH

Oh I didn't say they are too tight! I said " too tight looking work out pants". They are extremely comfy and stretchy and when I do squats I appreciate skin tight things so they don't move uncomfortable around or start to roll down.

I can say to you that when you are planning to be out a bit longer time and there is snow all over you, you kinda wish it wouldn't be that bad. Then again after the storm settles it will be nice and pretty. ^_^

I finally got around to watching Battle Royale. I had no idea The Hunger Games completely ripped off its concept.

Also, halfway through season 2 of Orphan Black now. I have to say I'm kind of sick of Sarah. She's deeply flawed and doesn't seem to care about growing as a person. She just uses people. I find Helena to be the most sympathetic character.
I can't believe Sarah didn't even bother to get her out of jail after Helena saved her life, let alone the fact that they are twins.
Still, aside from some deus ex machina plot twists, and a lot of bad writing in ep. 3, I still think this show is great.

Hahaha. I will be here waiting. :p

You should try out Finnish traditional things like going to sauna and after that swimming in the hole in the ice and then back to sauna. Repeat couple times and once in a while you can also go roll in the snow. I am not even making jokes, this is a real deal and I have done it numerous times. :D

Also yes, it can be really pretty. Here are couple photos taken around five minutes walk away from where I live. They aren't that current though, but still. I really like the area. ^_^

Hahah, I am startng to believe I have chubby cheecks. :p

Oh and you get used to the weather and the temperatures. It is always a pain in the autumn but after couple weeks it is all fine and when the spring comes the temperatures that used to feel cold on autumn now feel warm instead. :D

I was in an exchange program in my class with Finland and we got to do the jump in ice cold water and go in the sauna thing. Pretty fun, but the first time takes a lot of getting used to.
 
I love how the picture is so perfectly calculated. Look at the rolled cuffs on the jeans, the hair, the glasses.

Nobody smokes indoors though, not anymore.

There are bars around here where you can still smoke. Or at least, they still smoke regardless of laws. If you pick up a six-pack from them they damn labels smell like nasty cigarettes.

Moral of the story: Don't pick up six-packs from certain bars around here.

I think this is only the case if everyone in the house smokes. Most of the smokers I know live with someone who does not and then end up being forced outside. Not that I find that bad. I cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke.

Moving has been such a weird process.

I got this apartment with my ex almost 3 years ago. She got a better job and can afford to keep it by herself now, so I'm leaving. A lot of her stuff has still been here since we broke up last year. Actually, I would say most of the stuff here is hers that she didn't take with her when she moved back in with her parents.

It's weird, going through my stuff, separating it from hers. Finding old cards we wrote each other. Back when we were so sure things were going to work out forever. It's funny how you can think you have things figured out, but life comes around and humbles you.

Leaving will be good for me in time. I've moved on and it's time my surroundings reflect that.

That and she's kind of turned into a huge bitch, sooooo...

Good on you for gettin' on. You should get a flat this time. I always wanted a flat when I was single so that all my shit could be visible. Houses are nice, but I want everyone to see my weird shit at all times.

That's the shitty part about it. Wondering when you'll find someone who you are sure can stick by you, no matter what happens. You know, a reliable person and not someone who can change quickly just because of certain circumstances. But eh, it's better to move on from someone who's just dragging you down, you'll be in a better, peaceful place and much healthier feeling too.

Yeah, for sure. My ex and I wanted to stay friends after we broke up (that's the gist of why I dumped her to begin with--we were basically friends and not lovers anymore), which is just a totally stereotypically lesbian thing to do LOL. But there's still bitterness there, and we're both dating new people now, and she always tries to make it a "who's got the better girlfriend" competition when I talk to her (btw I win lol). She'll ask me how my girl is doing and then immediately try to one-up me.

It's sad. She thinks she's grown up so much since we broke up, but she's just turned into some pretentious snob and mistaken that for maturity.

You have to spend ages looking around for something you can do (not that you want to do, just that you have the skills to do), then you give up, go tot he job centre and get sorted out there.
Then they have you jump through so many hoops that turns looking for a job into even more of a job than it was

Then you find a job, apply to it, get the interview, all great

Then you go down to a different city to sort the paperwork out and because you don't have a passport you need a birth certificate and because your mother bought the shitty short ones and you keep getting confused you take that one down like you did the time before and then get told "lol noob, wrong one" then have to spend another £6 on train fair just to take the right one (which was literally next to the one you took just in a shitty envelope!) in just so they can say "looks legit" and tick a box.

I just want to get money :(
 
RPJ, bringing my cat to the vet in an hour. She's leaking puss from her vaginal infection and vomiting. Vet said on Saturday that she needs lab work and possible uterus removal or her diabetes will get worse.
