I'm not militant about it; we all have our own lines we draw. If my life was in danger, I'd step up to whatever flavor. But my immune system is strong enough that I rarely get the flu. It sounds like there's a vaccine in trial created from insect cells, which is interesting. I can already see a Sci-Fi channel B movie with this premise. Hopefully eventually they'll be able to build vaccines from artificial biology.
They're actually growing the flu cultures in Tobacco leaves right now, I'm following this development closely because I'm the brother who's allergic to eggs and as I get older my egg allergy could eventually prove deadly if someone gives me the flu.
Hopefully we'll both be able to get vaccinated in the future and protect immunosuppressed people.
I'm also rooting for Monsanto with all my mighty weight because they're looking into hypoallergenic eggs via GMO. *crosses fingers*
