Your screenshot looks like a photo. Graphics is clearly much better compared to GTA 5, so no wonder game is much more demanding. Not bad with GTX 1080Ti in 3440x1440p (Textures : ultra / others settings on high & TAA on medium only) 50~60fps on average
tried everything I found in the internet but still getting launcher crashs.
Lol thisIf you have avast antivirus turn it off otherwise the game won't work. Just saw that at my cousins PC
Thanks for beta testing the pc version for steam btw
I did some benchmark runs with Vulkan and DX12 with my system:
7700K@4.7 GHz
2070 Super @2000-2050 Mhz in game clocks
16 GB 3200 Mhz RAM
@2/3 4K upscale (essentially 1440p) maxed settings with TAA high (no FXAA/MSAA)
DX12: 44 FPS avg
Vulkan: 41.4 FPS avg
It seemed like DX12 gave slightly higher performance, and I couldn't detect any significant frame pacing issues with either api. I did play the beginning bit with Vulkan for like 30 min and it didn't have any issues, but I'll have to play some with DX12 next to see if there's any hitching of frame rates instead of horses.
So far the game looks incredible though, there's a million settings to optimize, and ultra settings should push current systems to the max. It tells nothing of optimization how well a game runs maxed out, only how little devs look to the future on PC hardware.
Well the game was definitely unoptimized on PRO with their wonky resolution etc.......So I had no doubt it would be a bit "brute-forcish" on.....However, I feel they have cranked up the settings on PC vs the consoles a fair bit......So PC (at best settings) vs Consoles should be a very interesting faceoff to look forward to in the next few hours....Well, the games unoptimized. I think I'm gonna wait till Nvidia releases their 3000 series.
And no, no amount of screenshots and telling me the game looks good is gonna change my mind or convince me the game isn't unoptimized.
I tried both and it seems to run better with vulkan on nvidia (1080 ti). Like 15 to 20 fps better.Vulkan and DX12?.....This should run better on AMD hardware then....
Aim on console is fucked for thos game, it's not a gamepad thing...Best improvment for PC , Mouse and keyboard.
See console gameplay with autoaim.... so boring :/
seems running pretty good on lower specs as well, at least for 1080p you dont need anything special
99 % gpu usage equals higher input lag.Not bad with GTX 1080Ti in 3440x1440p (Textures : ultra / others settings on high & TAA on medium only) 50~60fps on average
Until gryoscope is embraced it is definitely a gamepad thing. I'm sure rdr 2 added input lag also adds more layer of suck, but the primary issue is lack of precision that traditional stick only gamepad suffer from.Aim on console is fucked for thos game, it's not a gamepad thing...
Horizon or gears are 100x times better even with a gamepad and no autoaim.
I mean yeah compared to the mouse, gamepads are less precise.Until gryoscope is embraced it is definitely a gamepad thing. I'm sure rdr 2 added input lag also adds more layer of suck, but the primary issue is lack of precision that traditional stick only gamepad suffer from.

Not as good as these screenshots posted in here. Will look better than current gen but not near PC.I´m curious to see how it will look on Scarlet and PS5! if there´ll be an update!
I find it amazing that you enjoyed the horrendous 'gameplay' but each to their own, I guess. So jealous of you guys being able to play this for the first time, a true masterpiece in every possible way, it's amazing that something like this even exists for us to enjoy.
Same here, Vulcan is 20% faster, gtx1080+7700kI tried both and it seems to run better with vulkan on nvidia (1080 ti). Like 15 to 20 fps better.
I used geforce experience to set the graphical options. I'm getting 50 - 80 fps.

1080p first Favor Quality preset (very close to what you see on PS4 Pro) @ i7-6700/Titan Xp
It's laughable.
These dropped frames, microfreezes, overall horrible frame pacing.
All the usual suspects.
Hey, I agree with you that the world created, graphics, sound, voice acting and general production is amazing. Just a pity they forgot to make the actual gameplay fun.Peanut
Thanks for beta testing everyone. I'm sure by the time the Steam version launches all the bugs and crashes will be sorted!
You actually went back and edited that post?Glad you think your opinion is so important, especially when you are such an obvious outlier. Yet another typical trolling internet pleb to block
It'll be interesting to see how the PC community receives the game.
Clearly you are unfamiliar with the PC Master Race.Gamers are gamers.
Clearly you are unfamiliar with the PC Master Race.
Not to mention, the steam version will still require the rockstar launcher. So you're just adding another needless launcher.LOL
Every game goes through something like this at launch regardless of which platform it releases on - to prove this, all you have to do is check the official forum for any game and look at the launch-day posts: you’ll see a plethora of issues.
Had this game launched on Steam first these issues would still have appeared. You’re not benefitting any by purchasing this game on Steam - you’re benefitting by waiting..
And clearly that can be said for any game.
[Nice try, though. ]
I did. Using the default settings (mix of medium/high 1080p and Vulkan) I get average fps of 60 in their benchmark. Gameplay seems to be buttery smooth too but don't quote me on it.Anyone try it with a 980ti?
It was a joke. You’re being silly.
Edit: it seems you’re trying to start a console vs pc war here? Not sure what your point is?
