I was thinking high 70's, but it looks like this game is nothing like a typical Arkane game. Ouch!
That works i guess for you.I would be playing with my daughter, we always play together so fortunately it's a moot point for me. I assume we bother keep our loot and upgrades?
It's free on gamepass. You get what you pay for, I guess.
Well, all jokes apart. Time for some constructive feedback.
Redfall is the perfect example of "you get what you pay for." This is the reason why so many of us keep highlighting the importance of a profitable business.
It's crucial for a gaming company to sell millions of copies, which can use that money to improve its game development, going from strength to strength. Without money flowing in for each individual product, it is going to be extremely difficult to put a lot of effort and money back into your games.
People who think that "day one first-party games on a subscription service is a good thing" should look at Redfall and what it represents. This is an inherently flawed model in the gaming industry. And that's why no top-notch publisher is doing it.
Missed opportunity for that Forspoken quote
- No hand-holding.
- No map markers.
- Encourages exploration.
- Immersive open-world gameplay.
Considering half of Redfall's development happened before Microsoft ever purchased Zenimax, you should probably do some homework before you try to push whatever this was supposed to be.Well, all jokes apart. Time for some constructive feedback.

The game has an exaggerated art style. It is intentional.
this feels worseKind of funny that Redfall and Forspoken have the the same Metacritic score.
This makes so much sense now. It was going to be a good game and then Xbox managers stepped in halfway throughConsidering half of Redfall's development happened before Microsoft ever purchased Zenimax, you should probably do some homework before you try to push whatever this was supposed to be.
Interestingly, Starfield's gunplay in the last trailer looked identical to me as Redfall.Damn, the reviews are brutal. At least Deathloop had a flair to it, but this just seem passionless, as if Arkane was forced to do make this game. Watching those reviews, the gunplay looks to be the most alarming to me, it seems so sluggish. The pressure is really on Starfield now, Xbox needs a win.
war? at this point it would be a massacre.Just imagine if Starfield launchs at the same state as Fallout 76, it ll be war

same & same. i just wanted something dumb to hold me over till tears of the kingdom. this'll definitely do that...Played for hour and half. Beat the first main mission and went through the “settling in” bit. Heading towards the helicopter crash
Had zero expectations. Also… yes… it’s not a pretty game and could easily run on an XBone or Switch imo
But the combat isn’t bad and it’s kinda spooky and vampires are cool. Music is funky.
It’s been a fun 90 minutes and I’ll definitely play more later.
I don't think so.Starfield will have VATS, no?
I don't think so.
Ignore the caption. This was the only perfectly-cut video clip I could find of just the gunplay.
But when I saw both Redfall and Starfield, I noticed the same issues. No weight of the gun, no impact, weird animations, AI enemies not reaction to getting hit with bullets, weird alpha effects for bullets traveling, etc.

Use someone else's credit card. How do you get Gamepass for free?
That is true. Starfield's combat will not get the same level of scrutiny or criticism as Redfall did -- even if those are 100% identical. Because there's also other stuff in a game like Starfield.Interesting. Combat has never been a strength of Bethesda's open world games so I don't think Starfield will live or die by that measure.

Looking at this review, it looks kinda fun? Not trying to defend, however maybe once they've ironed out some of the bugs, FPS, etc we might be left with a decent game. At least in co-op, which was how I was intending to play
RuthlessWe’re in Britney’s Dance Beat territory.

But it does negatively affect the gaming experience and enjoyment, so I suspect it'll show up in the review scores one way or another (at least to an extent).
So what you saying is you are glad a shit game is on game pass ? I think this post really sums up the state of game pass right now. As long as you don’t need to pay for release games you don’t care about the quality. It’s a bad road to be on and thank god Sony didn’t walk that path with ps plus.Forgot i preinstalled this a while ago. Thought i'd fire it up to see what the fuss is about. Looks like shit, runs like shit, but i like the setting. Can see me playing this with my son for an hour or so now and then once they fix the performance issues on XSX. Glad its on gamepass, if i'd bought this on the strength of their past games i would be pissed off
Perhaps you should wait a little and see how the ROG Ally ends up performing in comparison to the Steam Deck. Asus seems to be releasing it at a very competitive price.Saved and coming over, selling my series x and coming in dry boys, also saving that youtube channel, thanks a bunch.
If 64 MC is what success looks like for Xbox then I’ll never have any part in it again.25 pages without any actual reviews.
Gaf's interest in this game is unprecedented. This will easily end up being Arkane's most successful game till date.

Wait, is this for real?ay hold up
there is no MATCHMAKING?
they really did want this game to fail
No, he’s absolutely correct.Lol wtf?
If thats how you want to read it I cant even be bothered to enagage any further.
Some of you people on this forum are beyond comprehension.

You will regret your words once Starfield gets 90 plusLadies and gentlemen, I think it is time to give the executives at ZeniMax a huge round of applause, not because of how awful Redfall is (although they certainly do bear some responsibility for this shitshow), but rather that they were able to swindle Phil Spencer and Satya Nadella out of seven and a half billion dollars to buy out ZeniMax and their associated studios. I bet ZeniMax also tried shopping themselves to Sony as well back in 2020 and gave Sony a fair chance to at least try and match Microsoft's offer, but Sony probably had a good eye with their executive team to look under the hood back then to see what a rotting corpse that ZeniMax was trying to sell off. In hindsight, the Fallout 76 shitshow of a launch back in 2018 should have been a warning sign that things weren't going so well with the ZeniMax-owned studios, and that it wasn't a one-off aberration, but part of a larger issue among their studios that Microsoft of all companies certainly wasn't going to resolve anytime soon, especially with Phil Spencer at the helm.
How does Bethesda have iD Software in their ranks and not get taught anything about making good gunplay
