Yep, but I'm actually interested in seeing more as I read it's pay once, play forever. I just need to see how much that is first. I mean, currently I'm stuck playing "Steppy Pants" on my iPhone whenever I have a few minutes to kill either at a store line or something, I wouldn't mind playing this too.

It would be hilarious, though. NX and PlayStation Rinascita around the same power, but GAF favoring the PSP3 just because of a 1080p screen and saying that NX is archaic.

This is a good point. They've created momentum, and should ride it. I doubt that they will though. I wish the September 9th date were a real one. It would be perfect timing.
At the end of the event Tim Cook will say: "i've got one more thing....Apple Nintendo NX!"

Yeah, I think that might make some sense.
The way I remember, the Vita was pretty hyped when it came out. It was a more powerful alternative to the 3DS at an affordable price, why wouldn't it be. The moment where it started to become a joke was when Capcom announced Monster Hunter 3G and 4 for 3DS at once. That put lot of pressure on Sony to show off their own Monster Hunter game at TGS, which of course they didn't have. Ono was even running around tweeting "I thought I saw Monster Hunter for the Vita, but it looks like it was just God Eater".
Briefly checking Garaph to refresh my memory, 3DS launched at 371,326 in Japan. Vita launched at 321,407. Vita's sales fell a lot further a lot faster, but it's not like nobody paid attention to it from the start.
As for the PSP, I'm pretty sure that is some insanely revisionist history. In the West it actually did well at first because of titles like Grand Theft Auto and Final Fantasy. But it died off, only to be revived in Japan with Monster Hunter Portable 2.

Well when I joked last night that Nintendo showing up at Apples conference, I was only half serious. It does make one wonder though. Is it time for Nintendo to sell out to Apple or Disney.
Or also makes sense for Nintendo to create the official controller for smart phone games. Nintendo's ideas have always been the forefront of refinement by Sony and Microsoft. Shoulder pads, returning to a joystick, rumble pack, etc.

I honestly doubt it and I'm not just trolling/being negative there. I doubt they'll be doing anything NX related for at least a few weeks now.
You want to talk about good marketing, having mobile games available for platforms owned by near everyone(iOS, Android) that can do your advertising for you of your new console, genius.
In addition(and I'm not into the console wars and own a PS4 and look forward to Sony event) this pulls eyes away from Sony for even a second, at the very least Sony has to share a day with Nintendo that they planned to spend alone, very smart move, and kind of aggressive considering what we have come to expect from Nintendo.
