Very true, but they might want part of it filmed here, or as others said he might be doing press appearances (or maybe they will do a press event live with Miyamoto-san as part of it).

Sure they can. iPhone is making their stock explode(in a good way) and will make them shitloads of cash. The general public doesn't care about NX.

That'd make sense if NX was their priority but Mobile & Super Mario Run is probably more important.

Maybe Miyamoto is going to keep everyone in the theatre there after the Apple conference ends, then announce NX there and then, and that's why nobody in the press has mentioned any invites.

They make small, limited ads, basically for phones. That's what SMR is. Advertising. And it works.

They're better at marketing than before. Pokemon GO is marketing. It helps sell 3DSes and Pokemon games for 3DS. Super Mario Run is marketing. It sells their brand, consoles, games. Mario gets primetime everywhere. Worth millions and millions in ad money.

The first live conference Nintendo has taken part in in four years was for Super Mario Run. What does that tell you? It's more important than console games.

Imagine if, instead of a single Nintendo World event like the days of old, we get a Nintendo World Tour, where they travel the globe showing off NX, with events that can be attended by anyone, and NX units and games can be sampled. Use the modern social media era to get people talking about their own experiences on Twitter and Facebook.

I remember before 3DS launched they did small hands-on events (I went to one at the Metrocentre), so imagine that on a much larger scale, with Miyamoto present.

They've declared several times how "traditional gaming" is their core business, not mobile, though.
