Sorry, just got tired of looking at all the MS Paint mockups. So I threw this one together in about an hour using some n3DS assets.

Yes, but her point was also that fanboys shouldn't cling to old reports.
WSJ's story on NX has evolved a lot since their October 2015 report about "industry leading chips".
WSJ is now reporting that NX is a "handheld-console hybrid" that uses cartridges. Both of those things would support Eurogamer's report.
I hope you can attach the two controllers together, maybe with another part in the middle to make it a bit bigger and more comfortable.

Have so many people on GAF really ever played with the ggorgeous split setup of wiimote + nunchuck? So comfortable!

But the console could be played wither way up or passed to someone else without turning it round.

And here we were, thinking it couldn' t get any more bulky than the WiiU gamepad
The screen size being the same size as the screen from the gamepad, this has to be even larger than that. So i'm very much hoping it's not going to end up like this mock-up, even though it does look "Nintendey".
That bottom analog stick is just there for the lulz as well i assume?

So we're going to have another Wii? Even though it's been said the NX is nothing like the Wii?

That's like half the gamepad, if even
A Pascal Tegra would still very much be an "industry-leading" chip. Industry-leading and super powerful are not the same thing. I was suspecting that it simply meant a chip newer than what's in current consoles from the day that article popped up. The original report is still 100% relevant in this case.

Didn't they later gave some more info saying that "Several people who said who have seen a demo said what they saw is impossible to run on a computer without a "industry-leading" or "cutting-edge" chips. Cutting-edge in what way, they refused to elaborate."
Cutting edge or industry leading, as you state, are terms that doesn't necesarily mean high specs since it could just mean modern technolgy. However I always found the "computer" part weird since that made me think more of a PC, ironically consoles could be considered computers too.

Man, asymmetrical sticks look horrible. I hope Nintendo came up with an alternative.
Someone pointed out that if the demo was something like Protostar then it would be easy to see why they'd jump to that conclusion.
Who said that?
We have rumors of a non existing leap in power from the previous home console (we have hints about it not being less powerful than the wiiu)
We have rumors about split controllers with motion senso and Force feedback
It clearly seems to me a Wii like project where you get the advantages of purchasing also a very powerful portable (Unlike the ds) with a unified library (Unlike ds and wii) and a modern architecture that could easier receive multiplatform games developed with unity or Unreal 4 (Unlike the ds and wii)
It's something very new. The hardware, the software lineup, all of it is something I'd like to play for the first time myself.
the NX is neither the successor to the Wii U nor to the 3DS. It's a new way of playing games, which I think will have a larger impact than the Wii U, but I don't feel it's a pure replacement for the Wii U.
I am working on my final NX mockup so before finishing it I tought it was a good idea to share it in order to receive some ideas to implement. In case anyone is wondering the gray circle with a blue border on the left is a c stick like the one in the N3DS, the one with a red border is a button. The idea is having some basic inputs even when the controllers are dettached.

This is why I don't get any of the rumors.
That was also similar to a later post back then.

Edit: I mean a later post to what I was posting up earlier.

Ok with their newest "news" 10do is making it more clear, that they are only joking around.
And guys like this are the reason people think Germans have no sense for humor.
As funny as it looks like I even thought about something like that. I think an evolution of the WiiMote would kinda work like a SNES Pad when holden vertical. The only problem would be the amount of inputs would be too much I guess and look confusing, like you just proofed^^
But it's the only way to have detachable controllers be the same shape when used separately :'(

A,b,x,y on one side are d-pad replacements.Where is the DPad?

Unless they can attach from both sides, giving you the option to use the any way you want. Both control sticks on top, both Dpads on top, left control stick on top and right Dpad on top, left Dpad on top and left control stick on top.
I spoke of a way to attach the controllers using magnets, instead of using the pins from the leak mockup. In that case it could be easy to do.

Can you give your input on what you think the NX is or what the new way of playing games is?
To me, the detachable controllers sound like a new way of playing games because they are versatile and allow you to play games in different styles with just one set of controllers.

How? It's not going to be called Wii 3 or Wii U 2. Neither of those systems let you take them on the go with multiple controllers to play with.Likewise!! Nintendo's statements about NX pretty much contradict everything we have heard so far from rumors.
I can't because I have absolutely no idea what it is. On one side it's kimishima's words and on the other the rumors.

But you're certain it's not going to be a Wii Remote going off of what you said earlier.
Please show me what are the exact words that contradict the Wii Remotes or detachable controllers on NX when Kimishima was talking about Wii U when compared to NX.
Anyone else hoping they do a 'Super Game Boy' with the NX to allow for 3DS to be played on the TV sans the 3D part.
just drop the NX bomb already
someone here knows, put Nintendo out of their misery
