This is getting pretty stupid. You are all over the place. First it can't have TV out on a fully portable pad, because that is too much like the Gamepad. But it can be a hybrid, just has to have a dock (which is part of the damn rumor). But it can't have a dock. So it can't be a hybrid.
So home console then. But it can't be a successor to Wii U. Full portable gamepad is too much like non-fully portable Gamepad. If that is too much like Wii U, then how the hell is Nintendo Corebox not too much like Wii U?! Because it has a different brand like DS and GBA? Wouldn't the hypothetical hybrid too? Because...?! I'm drawing a blank.
You are being arbitrarily anal about a quote. That is all.
...
Look, you could be right that the rumors are wrong, but you do not have a principled argument for why people should think they are wrong. You don't.
Per above, you are abusing one quote for no apparent reason. Moreover, I have given you why that quote is not inviolate.
Moreover, I have given you why the rumor makes sense of what we think we know about the system.
Yet further, I have given you why the rumor makes sense in the context of Nintendo's business position and decisions.
On top of this, these are rumors from reputable sources. Things like the WSJ.
You have provided no reason why your quote is inviolate, nor argued against full portability and hybrid status being revolutionary, nor told me why this makes no sense coming from Nintendo. Nor have you given reason to not trust the sources. Moreover, you aren't even clear on what it is you are disputing. One minute it is TV out on the gamepad. Next minute it is the dock. One minute it is the whole idea of any portability at all, next minute it is the brand name.
To what end are you even arguing?!
...
Do we know everything? Obviously not, but it the body of evidence and common sense points to us knowing something from these rumors.
