All the nut jobs that were ruining this place back in the day are running the show there, its no wonder its a laughable shithole.

I joined Gaf only a few months or so before shit went down, I lurked from time to time before but I can't say I was aware of who the site VIPs are/were. I've been in enough forums however to know that once you start playing favourites with certain users or communities, that's when the downfall begins. You can no longer have any decent conversation when they're involved because they will always be treated with gloves when they shitpost, insult users, try to bait others into bans and such, so your only solution is silence. In a discussion forum. On ResetEra, your only way to stay out of trouble is not speaking.

I am definitely left-leaning politically speaking. I stand for equal rights, equal wages, I support all genders and races. I'm very much against no-vaxx conspiracies and shit like that. I've made several threads over there speaking up about authoritarian governments such as the one in Hungary fighting against such values on a regular basis. But that is not enough: I would have had to align with every ridiculous accusation the site users are throwing at CDPR, I would have to nod at black people refusing to get COVID-19 vaccinations because fuck white people, I was branded for years for posting a copy-pasta meme that one mod deemed transphobic, completely missing its point.

This shit is not healthy. They are legitimately pushing away their own allies, the people who stand by them in 99% of the issues because some of them aren't following them in their fever dreams on the remaining 1% of faux outrage. Staff and site VIPs are pushing the website towards imploding, and instead of acting against they are doubling down on this insanity. Oh well, more entertainment for us.

No sleep? No weekend activities?) to answer this vile witch hunt, and now they’re jumping on Vestan who poked the hornets’ nest, is mind blowing for me. Mods are basically finding easy victims for calming things down with this tribe, but they let them harass freely other members who, honestly, could just continue living their lives, not having to answer anyone’s fucking queries and cross checking questions to trap them into a ban.
