Let me share a personal experience I had between the 'Safe inclusive warm Era' and the 'Neo-Nazi scum Gaf'.
I shared on Era that my younger brother died one and a half year ago and that my mother has Alzheimer and I took care of her for more than a year. Can you guess how many reactions I got over there? I bet you guessed right.
I shared on Gaf a small but painful small operation I had and got a bunch of nice replies and reactions to my post.
I truly learned the meaning of the word 'performative' this last year.

one of the few reasons I didn't vote for Trump, is because of the rollback on trans protections . However i may feel personally about some stuff surrounding trans issues.....ultimately i do believe chicks with dicks etc, deserve to be able to get healthcare, covid tests etc like anybody else.

I am sure pretty much everyone that the Era fanatics are attacking as "transphobic" are in fact very liberal and in favor of trans rights and protections. Including CDPR and all the people favorably reviewing CP2077.
It is like a bubble of crazy, only tangentially related to real life in any meaningful way. It is a cyberpunk videogame.

It’s pretty shocking what’s happening on Era but it’s not surprising.
The ban hammer is used as a tool to keep the community in line. There are decent people on there with perfectly reasonable views but they won’t post for fear of a ban. This has been allowed to mature over time creating what feels like an outspoken far left echo chamber.
Some of the mods and key members think they have power and influence outside of their sphere. But they don’t, unless you count Polygon. This has been proven by CP2077. They simply cannot control interest in the game which has sent them into chaos.
I have been one of those who lurked there, reluctant to post. What person out there wants to get abuse and told they’re a Nazi etc for not conforming to their standards. I hope people have some common sense and remain objective about what they read over there but it’s clear some buy into it.
I find it all quite fascinating to be honest. I guess they win from a certain point of view as I’m more interested in this situation than I am about the damn game right now. Roll on Thursday I say.

The crazies on the left and on the right stirs that crap up all the time and makes it worse. Is this relatively new btw? I'm a rather old fuck...and back in the day, a trans gender was someone who felt like they were born in the wrong body and usually did everything they could to change that situation.
Now it seems that certain people grow their hair to their shoulders, claim they are a woman, are comfortable with their body and proclaim a penis is not a male organ.
