I saw someone posting a long list of āproblemsā they had with the game. Like the trans issues, which they claim to be ignore by this game despite there being visual evidence in this thread of a trans character with a meaningful backstory, all the other gripes were similar bullshit. Too many help the cops missions, like Iām sorry are you pretending you are in 2077 and cyberpsychos are murdering people en masse or not? Thatās the problem with activists they canāt suspend their disbelief or take things in the proper context. Everything is seen as āis this good for the Democrats/SJW/BLM political establishment y/n?ā
Thing is they are the ones doing the most damage to the trans community by being terrible allies. They go on about how harmful CDPR is all while being way more harmful themselves. How many hundreds of thousands of people have been unable to say what they want about the game due to Kyuuās oppressive tactics? How many people on the edge of accepting trans rights are now banned for minor infractions and have the impression first hand that it is a hateful spiteful bigoted group that encourages evil behavior out of its members?
They are actively scaring off potential allies. They are radicalizing people. They are loudly and belligerently giving the trans community a bad name. And most of them are just white cishet dudes!

so does this game get any points for how it centers a Latino character, the wonderful Jackie, who has a big role as a beloved member of his community, his personal history tying into that of the world, as we experience his story we learn more about what kind of people live in Cyberpunk 2077. I guess none of that matters? Oh I am well aware of that! I used the word because white allies like Era people have decided they can invent a new word for a race of people other than themselves, a word that only white people use, and that it is somehow ok.
Another reminder that the āparty of scienceā is genuinely insane and detached from reality. Imo they are the real racists and this whole act is them unable to deal with self hatred over it and projecting it on the world.

There wouldn't be an issue with an admin saying "pound sand" to a member if that was the tone and style of the forum. But on a forum where they ban folks for making off-site jokes, for questioning moderation, for saying the right thing but with the wrong tone, for misgendering someone accidentally and so on, an admin going above that and going "fuck off" on a user is daft. But hey, that's the power trip they signed up for. Staff does what users can't do. That is, insulting their userbase, being racist, etc. without repercussions.

Who would have thought that after everything the admin team did to appease the trans community it would be the trans community in revolt (and not the people who wanted to talk about the game).
