I've probably watched the first three trailers (debut trailer, c-virus trailer and E3 trailer) about 10,000 times each. However the game turns out, Capcom sure knows how to cut a trailer! I like what I see but I'm really eager to finally play the game and try out all of the new systems. The combat and mobility options have been dramatically expanded, and I'm fine with that, as long as the controls are still tight and responsive and I always feel like I'm in control. Any impressions of the game's handling from the demos?

I am used to the typical scenario where a game goes gold about two weeks before launch, but considering that we are about a month and a half out, it's not really that surprising. It does seem like they knew what they wanted and just made the damn thing, though. Can't argue with what I have seen, it looks good to me.

Yeah, I imagine that it was indeed in the works long before it was announced. But from announcement to release has been pretty quick, which is certainly not a bad thing from my point of view.

I just hope that the coop gameplay is good and fun. I haven't seen much of the game besides the brosplosion trailer with the helicopter and some screens here or there. I think I'm going to wait on it until it get's cheaper next year. Hey, maybe my buddy will finally get a gaming PC by then and I wont have to get this thing for ps3.

I don't think it's uncommon for a game to go gold this early. At most you'd see an extra week or two. Also note that RE6 has been in development for years, well before they showed the first trailer. They've probably been just polishing the whole time we've actually known about it. The core game was probably complete before then.

Yeah, plus this has probably been the shortest span of time a mainline RE was first shown and released in a while. Compared to...RE5 which was first shown in 2005 :lol

Well I certainly hope that's the case. I have the game pre-ordered and can't wait to jump in with both feet.
