Resident Evil Requiem handheld Switch 2 footage surfaces, Capcom "surprised" at how smooth the porting process was

Honestly the game looks quite fantastic for being on Switch 2
Honestly when I read about the specs of the console, I was like "okay this is definitly way more powerful than expected (+ DLSS) and should get pretty much all 3 party games.

It sure has less raw power than the PS5/Pro and Series X/S but we saw already with PS5 vs Pro that raw power doesn't do much of a difference nowadays. And that the early ports (Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk) were mostly ports that were made to benefit from the launch window.

Because the shtick is old.

I for one am glad he wasn't. Like his opinion and enthusiasm or hate it, he's allowed to have it. Just ignore him if you don't like it.
Oh i will do just that because i am an adult (But hey, i am a Nintenbro too now because i bought a Switch OLED for a tenner!) but there is no doubt that name will be on the list in the shortterm. It always happens to the confident, thinking their words are more valued than others and thus they cannot be banned.

Until they do.

If Resident Evil: Requiem costs $70,00 Dollars then it's already $20,00 Dollars more than Hades II - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition ;)
Hades II is $30 digital and $50 physical, so they are passing on the cart cost to the consumer. Capcom could do that too if they wanted.

Edit: Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I can tell you're logic is "if a game with a small budget can be profitable at a low price, then a game with a much bigger budget should be profitable too"

What I actually wanted in the End to say was that a big Publisher like Capcom should consider to make a $17,00 Dollars loss on each Game sold at $70,00 Dollars in order to prevent selling their Video Games on Game Key Cards.

The Developers of Cyberpunk 2077 did this too and it turned out that it was the best selling 3rd Party Physical Release on the Nintendo Switch 2 because the Game wasn't on Game Key Cards.

Nintendo Gamers including myself still highly care about Physical Games and therefore Publishers should not release their Video Games on Game Key Cards even if this means that they've to take a loss of $17,00 Dollars on each sold Video Game.

Edit: Physical Games is still a really big Market on Nintendo Consoles which Publishers should care about if they want to reach the highest possible Audience for their Video Games!!!

Which makes sense. Cyberpunk is a much better example than Hades, because Hades didn't take the $17 loss.

Bummer.
Dude was fun to have around.
It's hard not to share his enthusiasm for stuff like this. I have a Switch 2, but I would NEVER try to play RE9 on it...just very cool that it's even a thing. Same with Star Wars Outlaws. But if all I had to game on was a Switch 2, this would all be much more exciting, I'm sure.

Good luck in life, Giga, I know you had a lot of struggles, so stay strong and stay off the sauce, brother.

I'm excited about any game that takes advantage of the hardware... I want Outlaws and RE9

Honestly, mods should have pulled a reverse Gamer79 (or whatever his number is) and let GigaBowser create a single containment thread that he was allowed to post in. It's a shame to lose such an iconic character completely.

The added value of PS5 Pro compared to base PS5 is yet to be seen
Nonsensical words. If for you it's not worth the price it will never be an added value. There are games which shows the "added value" whatever is it supposed to mean.

launching at twice the price of the base model, while only adding 45% higher raster performance and an AI upscaler feature, is bad value, no matter how you look at it.

the Xbox One X launched with a 100€ premium over the launch model price, while having 5x the GPU power, 50% more CPU power, and 4GB more ram.

that's an insane contrast between these 2 mid-gen refreshes I'd say.
and of course we got the fact that you can easily now build a PC as powerful or more as the Pro, for around the same price. which is unprecedented.

I thought Switch was like 505megaflops, and Switch 2 is like 3K

Switch 1 Docked = 0.393 TFLOPS
Switch 2 Docked = 3.1 TFLOPS

however, with the whole dual issue "flopflation", the real world performance doesn't scale as high as this makes it seem...

but, what does that have to do with the PS5 Pro lol

oh I though you meant the Switch>Switch 2.

Yeah, I think PS5 in general is a disappointment graphic wise. I dunno if it's the hardware of devs.
