I didn't even know about this movie until a month ago. Then saw the trailer and everything just fit. Like, fuck yea, this movie just seems to fit with the franchise.
Apollo Creed's son being trained by Rocky? Michael B. Jordan plays the son? It's like fan fiction, except it's reality. And it looks fucking great!

Based on his take in Balboa, I don't find this surprising. It was the first attempt at humanizing this bumbling slow blue collar character since the original film. The rest were basically adventures of him wearing new clothes.

Pretty fair to say. Had so much fun marathoning the rocky movies again this year. He's probably the most endearing iconic american movie character of all time imo
I am legitimately, 100% shocked this movie is getting any positive reviews. Didn't hear about the damn thing until like last week and I own every Rocky movie to date. I just assumed it was being pushed out the door and was going to be worse than Rocky V.
