It would never happen. Ever.

I like Robin Williams, but he would need to be as far away as possible from Batman as he could possibly get

We asked Williams whether he saw The Joker as more over-the-top or dark.

"You can go both," Williams said. "As in madness, there's a lot of ways to go. I think you can really explore how bright and how nasty-funny he is, just like I guess what Kevin [Spacey] did with Lex Luthor, made him really funny, but yet still damaged... As evil is, accessible and yet still horrific. Jump back and forth all the time. I'm kidding... Kidding!"

eh, anyone else think this COULD POTENTIALLY work?

at least the guy seems to be a big comic guy

he can easily pull it off but every damn movie i see with him in it, i see ****ing mork.

I can only imagine Jack Nicholson's face, not Mork's.

Maybe it's time for that to change...

"Now Batman, you shall DIE! Nanu-nanu!"

And make no mistake; if Robin Williams gets cast as the Joker, there WILL be a Nanu-Nanu thrown in there SOMEWHERE.

Williams definetly has the prior Nolan relationship on his side. There is something about such a well known face that makes them distracting in this sort of film. Plus the fact that he was supposed to be the riddler in Batman Begins. I just don't think he is right for it though. Williams does a great job at playing creepy, (Insomnia, One Hour Photo), but he is not menacing like the Joker should be. I think Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman(not possible), Edward Norton, and maybe Jude Law are perfect for the role. All of them have proven in the past that they can do that type of character. Otherwise I would go for an unknown.

I still think Crispin Glover can do exactly what the Joker needs to be. Insanely freaky while still having a slight edge of humor.

However, I wouldn't mind Brody, he's got the freaky smile.
