ROG Xbox Ally X price leaked.

And it's €599 and €899 respectively. Holy moly.

Hah. Those are literally the exact prices I predicted. (Well, I said $700 and $1000, which I assume it'll be in the states.)

Not super surprising. The base model is an especially bad deal since it's got very similar specs to the Steam Deck.

Valve's really got that Steam subsidy going for it.

What do you get extra from the normal version of the ROG ally?

I assume by 'normal version of the ROG Ally' you mean the OG ROG Z1E Ally and not the newer Ally X.

Much bigger battery and significantly better battery life
More RAM
More powerful chipset. Z2 Extreme vs Z1 Extreme
Supposedly AI support thanks to the included NPU
Better ergonomics
Launches with significantly better Windows UX (though this eventually gets ported to the Ally and Ally X)
Extra USB-C port. Now USB4 for better eGPU support
impulse triggers with better haptics.

For anyone who already has an Ally X, the difference is less stark, and will mainly be around the new Chipset and better ergonomics. Tradeoff is it's bigger, heavier and less attractive.

In other words, it's the same exact price as the existing ROG Ally X.

No drama to see here. But PC Gamer left that out for a reason…

This perpetual victim mentality is too funny.

Going to be a long road for you if you think PC gamers are going to put up with Xbox's crap and you guys running around like used car salesmen defending it.

Boy ...

He wasn't talking about "PC gamers" the group, he's talking about PC Gamer the website, linked in the OP.

Calm your ass :messenger_grinning_sweat:

All that just because it is Xbox branded?

I know he was referring to the website.

So no, I will not "calm my ass". Been reading too much clownery surrounding this desperate infiltration of the PC gaming space.

I think these posts make me realize that Asus just isn't a big enough name in the gaming world.
ROG needs to up the advertising/meme' and hypes.

Asus are a hardware manufacturer and AIB partner with a very bad reputation.

Everyone in the PC building/gaming space knows who they are, it's just that most want nothing to do with them.

Xbox have trained people to assume they are ready to take a financial loss on every piece of hardware with their name on it.

Considering Xbox has always been a subsidized console.....well yeah. They have also conditioned people to think Xbox will play Xbox games. That's not necessarily the case here though.

On the contrary, everyone now knows Xbox won't take a loss on Hardware anymore. They answer to above and have targets to hit (which they won't).

Who are these trained people? I haven't seen a single one here that's for sure.

Also this is made by Asus and they would set the price not Xbox (though I appreciate you said hardware with their name on it)

Dangle an Asus Rog 5090 at MSRP in front of me and I'll jump and grab it.

You are conflating differences between the ROG Ally and the ROG Ally X, and differences between those and the Xbox versions.

Probably intentionally, to confused people asking questions

Classy as fuck
