I see it in 2 hours and I'm sleepy as fuck because I barely did get sleep last night. I hope I don't fall asleep lol
You'll likely fall asleep during the first half. Just make sure to wake up for Scarif onwards.

whoa, is it out already?Haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm listening to the "Jyn's Theme and Hope Suite" from the soundtrack.
Damn, Giacchino brought his Medal of Honor game back.

It's not out until tomorrow, I believe.Quite like to listen to the soundtrack, are the names spoilery?

Jyn's theme is basically a reworking of his Yorktown theme from Star Trek: Beyond, to the point where it's distracting if you know that score well.
VII was the first Star Wars movie to entertain me.
It shares a few notes for sure, but if anything it's more similar tonally to Rey's theme.
Plus it has this weirdly Godfather-esque turn a ways in that I really dig.
Some people find it hard to appreciate older forms of art like music and film if they didn't grow up with it, so while I don't personally agree I can understand how he feels.I know you mean well, but these threads make my head hurt.
Saw it today, thought it was ok. I give TFA some shit but I actually like that one more.
I definately expect this one to be quite divisive after the honeymoon period is over. There is a bunch of cool stuff they do unique in the SW movieverse but I just wasn't feeling the ''vibes''.
One lil thing that might be just me since there are other movies/shows I have this problem with but I have REAL hard time remembering the names of the new characters. 12 hours after I saw it and I couldn't tell you the names of the bad guy, the blind guy and his sidekick, the pilot, the rebel guy ect. ect. The only fuckin names that stuck with me were Saw and K2 for some reason. They need to start hammering the names to us stupid people with memory problems I tell ya! I should follow the pre-release info more I suppose.
Oh, and the bad guy is pretty lame. The only neat thing about him is the design. You don't really hate, like or feel sorry for him, he's just kinda there.
The best thing about it was the return of space battles. I just wish they gave them time to breathe more to show the scope rather than constantly cut to other stuff.
Even theI really don't get what the impressions say about cut stuff from the trailer, since I thought all of them were in the film.
Is there a Sam Jackson stinger after the credits?
Anyone know what trailers are playing in front of Rogue One?
Do you think that, after 1 viewing of Star Wars, you'd have remembered "Ben / Obi Wan Kenobi" "Han Solo" "Chewbacca" "C3PO" "R2D2" "Princess Leia Organa" "Alderaan" "Millenium Falcon" "Tatooine" "Darth Vader" "Governor Tarkin" "Biggs" "Wedge" "Uncle Owen" "Aunt Beru" "Luke Skywalker" "Mos Eisley"
... every movie has these kinds of outlandish names.
damn, can't find the score anywhere. Have it coming in the mail tomorrow but really wanted to hear some of it before going to the theater.
Is Mads wasted?
It's on YouTube. Pretty poor quality though.
I say this with the utmost respect:
I say this with the utmost respect:
I wonder if some of you even like the SW universe. Seems like you were forced to watch a movie with a loved one in which you had no interest in seeing.
I for one am just happy we are getting competent new movies. TFA = "they didn't take any chances, run of the mill didn't need to be a sequel"
One takes chances: "irrelevant movie that didn't need,to be made, bored to tears"
Why do you put yourself through this if its so bad. I grew up on OG trilogy, and had to suffer the PT. These last two movies have been a G*d D@mn revelation compared to TPM or ATOTC.
I guess I'll ask again, did anyone see this in 3D and is it worth seeing in 3D?
Put me in the "holy shit we're getting more good SW films" camp. What do you have to lose after the EP1-3? The PT was category 5 Hurricane Lucas and the last two films have been the clean up/rebuilding crew.
But I'm a glass half full kinda guy.
