SonOfABeep said:So I made it inside the Chernobyl NPP - But the battles previous to this have all but destroyed my protective suit. Should I just load back before taking out the scorcher(that's my last save) and try to get more armor? It seems impossible to make it through the NPP without rad protection, and I can't see any armor in the NPP.

Perhaps I should just give up on my current save (6 odd hours in) and start again.

Daigoro said:im sure with a better PC, this would be a lot less of an issue.
i get around 25-45 FPS on average.
isamu said:Hi Daigoro can you post your PC specs?
Yes, and I haven't experienced a bug yet besides some weird shadows that pop up in a couple spots. The mod along with the patch has made the game a very polished game so far. Seriously try this. Here are some screens:ezekial45 said:Does that mod fix the bug that causes the first merchant's door to stay shut? That and along with the game crashing after loading a file is one of the reason why i uninstalled it.
You can get the float32 mod to work with this:SonOfABeep said:The Stalker Complete version looks prettier.. but I just kinda like how vanilla stalker +Float32 mod was. It seemed a lot darker and more desolate. I dunno, maybe it's just cause I played it that way first.
this mod already contains comprehensive shader mod that adds SSAO, parallax mapping, etc., adding Float32 would lead to conflict. If you insist on adding Float32 to improve performance,
delete shaders folder from gamedata and install Float32, you will loose many advanced features and the look of this mod but gain FPS. Before you do that, try disabling motion blur and SSAO first
I know exactly what you're saying; I had this exact problem with Clear Sky. I'm not familiar with the mod, but it took a bit of tweaking with the settings to get back to around 50 fps. I have a top of the line machine, too (I can run Crysis on High @ 1680 x 1050, 4 AA). It's just a janky game...but I love it.dark10x said:For those playing the 2009 mod at a framerate lower than 60, does the game handle lower framerates a bit more gracefully at this point? One of my biggest problems with the game (tech wise) was how choppy the game felt when it dropped below 60 fps. Something like Crysis generally ran slower than STALKER, yet it felt MUCH smoother at lower framerate. STALKER starts to judder pretty bad when the framerate is below 60. Vanilla STALKER is pretty much a solid 60 with some drops here and there, but I suspect this mod will lower performance a bit and I'm hoping it won't feel like dogshit when it does.
The gamedata folder by default doesn't exist, saying to replace is most likely for users running mods already. Just stick it in the STALKER folder, edit the .ltx like it says, then search for STALKER-SHOC and edit the final thing it says to do.L0st Id3ntity said:Help:
I want to run the 2009 mod, I follow the instructions carefully, then it asks to replace the "gamedata" folder with the 2009 mod one.
Problem is I can't find a "gamedata" folder no where in the game's main directory.
I'm running on W7 RC1.
Thanks, I got it working.Ikuu said:The gamedata folder by default doesn't exist, saying to replace is most likely for users running mods already. Just stick it in the STALKER folder, edit the .ltx like it says, then search for STALKER-SHOC and edit the final thing it says to do.
I installed the mod myself and am seeing a weird shadow bug (which, now that I remember, occurred with vanilla STALKER as well). Basically, along the left and right side of the screen there are weird shadow artifacts. Occurred on both my old 8800GT and GTX260. Any clue how to fix it?there is also a fix for that shadow bug cat in the hat was talking about.

Sadly there is no fix yet, i'm almost done with my playthrough and its still there every so oftendark10x said:I installed the mod myself and am seeing a weird shadow bug (which, now that I remember, occurred with vanilla STALKER as well).
