I bought physical mostly all the way up to the PS5. Then I had PS plus essentials and owned none of them. Turns out PS plus essentials is nothing more than an expensive rental service.

As someone who fully lived through the dark ages of 2006 - 2012 before steam became popular, spare me. I remember how console players used to boast about their precious exclusives.

PC gaming is now the sensation, as it should be. We have all the games, we have mods, we're the only ones with full compatibility and a real library going back for decades. Deal with it.

Nice to hear about a gamer actually voting with their wallet for their convictions, regardless of platform/dev etc.

As for Sony, for me, they have nothing on their roster that isn't really catered for close enough with third party. I also dislike the PS controller and their industry tactics, so there is that.

Question OP, do you play multiplayer much? If so are you leaving friends behind too? To me that's the real big issue. It's cool for third party games e.g. cross platform chat in games like Apex etc, however, first party and ecosystem are a different story though.
