If he repeals the Johnson amendment it's going to be absolutely vital for the judges to smash him as hard as possible and as fast as possible. Hell, half the shit he's already done should already be in court.

I just don't 100% believe Trump or Bannon really came out with this order expecting it will go through, that it won't be overturned. I wouldn't be surprised if they do all this BS just to create outrage, work the news and legal system, and keep people glued to their screens. We love to think they fumble and have no clue, but they might as well be doing this just to waste everyone's time while they pack ever more money into their coffers - all the while saving face with their hardcore supporters ("hey, we really, really tried!").

We got "officially" degraded to a "flawed democracy" actually.
The checks and balances are in place but a huge part of the problem is they were largely intended as a "hey you can't do that" so sane people would just...not do that. The checks are not used to harshly checking a president who simply does things he cannot do, so they're majorly hesitating on dropping the hammer. Plus one check (congress) idiotically thinks keeping him in is to their benefit (even though impeaching trump means they get Pence instead.)

Just a thought... perhaps even if this is overturned completely and shut down Trump can still claim that he kept his promises. He is going through that checklist one by one and doing every single one.
My guess, in a business, cut and dry decisions like these have an impact, but the company best interests will always be kept as the highest priority. In politics, things just flat out affect people, and there are laws and the constitution. He just can't do that, and im not sure whether he'll realize it or not short term. It doesn't help that he despises criticism and people going against him through the law. So he just throws a temper tantrum and will try to find a way to fire that person going against. Or bend the law and exploit it to get his way. Its pretty crazy tbh.

I think you have to say stupid shit like that about a judge when in the actual courtroom in order to get charged with contempt of court, but one can dream.
