Several devs from Fable and Forza Horizon have left Playground Games, finding suggests, albeit it could mean nothing unlike the Halo: Infinite situation prior to release

  • Narrative Director
  • Principal Level Designe
  • Co-Dev Art Directo
  • Script Writer
  • Principal Vehicle Artist

It's interesting that they have moved to Avalanche, Rocksteady and 2 to Mavrick Games. Mavrick games is a new studio. I wonder what they're working on now? mobile related or console/PC multiplatform?

That doesn't sound quite like the 343 situation. I think Forza would be fine with new directors as long as a decent amount of senior staff stays, especially in the programming and system tools department.

Hopefully it's nothing, would suck to see them fall from grace. Probably MS best/most consistent studio right now.

Open world game AAA for consoles and PC. There were 10 people a year ago. The plan is to reach 140. That is, to see his game there are at least 4-5 years left.

Tbf if you enjoyed the first 3 games then this is the best news ever

As long as they don't goof FH I'll be good. Sometimes people just want a change in where they work, or maybe there were options available with more upside/promotion opportunities, etc. FH4 & 5 are both very detailed worlds that are just fun to drive between events in.

Bad practices versus good practices. Guess who is doing the right thing.

Doesn't seem much different from what Playground is doing. One company, two teams making different genres, with lots of staff fluidly moving between both projects.

Yes that's the joke

Could easily mean their contribution has come to an end.
At this point - given how long it's been in development - it's feasible Fable is largely content complete and they're into the bug fixing and optimization phase.

Well it does depend on whether you're refining an established formula or starting out on trying something different from what you normally do.

Elden Ring was just another Souls' game they've been refining since 2006 or whenever Demon's started out. Details change but fundamentally its still basically the same game just larger and more elaborated than before.
