I read all the issues of the Hulk from the 1960's and early 1970's where he is an uncontrollable monster and that is what I have found boring for him. I have no idea how that element of the Hulk lasted 100+ issues. Obviously you don't care about comics but you can't place your expectations of Hulk onto She-Hulk, they are two entirely different characters. If she was going to be another rage induced uncontrollable monster what would even be the point of her?

Correct, what is the point of her? Strong and resilient is boring, strong at the cost of not having control is interesting. Just being awesome and powerful doesn’t make for a interesting char arc, it’s going to need either another equally strong (and boring) nemesis or some plot device they’ll pull out of their arses.

Superman is in a similar situation. Without Kryptonite he would be insufferably boring.

I love Ang Lee Hulk film. Alot of people hated that film but I loved it due to the movie trying to get into Bruce Banner psyche. But I guess people weren't down for that

Seems like they are still going for a jekyll Hyde thing. As a human she is meek, tentative, unassertive, as she-hulk she is dominate, liberated, and more extroverted.

Question is whether or not they will show Walters as being pushed around exclusively by "toxic men" and then she-hulk is a feminist ideal of a woman too strong for men to bully (which usually means she loses all femininity and basically becomes a male herself).

There is a way to do this that would interest me, lots of ways to do it that I wouldn't like. At least it looks like she is having fun as she-hulk which is a nice change of pace.

That's because Whedon was the only person interested in the character. He was the only one willing to show the Hulk as something potentially monstrous to be afraid of while also giving Banner some attention. He's just been shitty comic relief under everybody else since then. Hell, the big climax and resolution to his character happens off screen and had no effect on anything.

And yes Ang Lee's Hulk was excellent

They could have used unfinished CGI, happens all the time trailers take time to make. For example Transformers Revebge of the fallen and Transformers 4 both used incomplete CGI in their reveal trailers 3 - 6 months before release .

There are example where female lawyers in Suits, Damages and movies. They are not defined by their role. Disney could have put it as another worker or family focus but they didn't because of power and prestige.

The woman is considered less successful if she doesn't have a high flying career and matching lifestyle. They could go against the comics, as a creative choice, without being disrespectful if the comics had the character as a lawyer.

CGI and concept aside, it's pretty telling they put the attorney in the title. You can race and gender swap all day but classism is alive and well.

Is this parody? It's called Critical Drinker and one of the first complaints regards perceived drinking on the part of the cast for issues that soundslike youtubers problems. The resentment against women is a bit overwhelming.

If you want more in depth thoughts from Critical Drinker, those are on his live streams and not the ~10 min videos he makes where he plays some half drunk character.

How these women might be IRL should have no bearing how good the show is. Doesn't mean he's not allowed to speculate on it. As long as he doesn't directly knock shows based on ad homs alone.

Such an odd angle to take when EVERY male superhero, except maybe that chubby kid from Deadpool 2 and Dr. Strange's buddy, are SHREDDED. Those male actors put in the damn work. Granted, it's PEDs and probably not a super healthy long term process to do it over and over but still....they do the work. Even Fattfleck was such an oddity.

Then these ladies come along and complain that a little bulemia is a big deal* And kinda takes the wind out of all the gushing about Natalie Portman bulking up for Thor:L+T

And Maslany looked like this at the premier, not sure what body type she is campaigning against? She looks healthy and fit. Not even packing 6 months of chicken breasts and broccoli or anything harsh like that. The trailers show a pretty sleek she-hulk, it's not like she porks out in rage or anything. Maybe I'm missing her point?

Anyone else find it a little odd that all the reviews seem to be on only 4 episodes Disney let reviewers watch? I believe it’s 9 episodes in total. I wasn’t sure if this was just a TV review thing, so checked out Sandman and League is their Own reviews and they seemed to be done on the full season. Not sure how one can fairly critique a season without seeing how it’s plot develops and concludes.
