Ok guys lets stop this and close the thread. Because people like me are not going to handle my heart when this is not even going to mention at E3. Nibel you have open another wound in my soft heart :(

E3 time...usual TLG and Shenmue 3 hype pre show...only to be left with nothing post show as usual :(

I wish this would be the year though...sigh.
 
Ha, I'll believe it when I see it. I think it's a lot more likely that we'll get announcements of Shenmue 1+2 HD Remasters with Shenmue 3 coming at a later date..
 
I fucking choked on my food when I saw that tweet.

The idea of having the Last Guardian and Shenmue in the same conference is TOO CRAZY TO BE REAL

OK, so assume for a moment this is actually real, I wonder who would be funding it? Not Sega, so that would mean either MS, Sony, or Nintendo.

It would certainly be a megaton.
 
Man... that would be cool if Shenmue was announced (a Shenmue anything... remake, remaster, a sequel, a prequel... anything!).... but im not getting my hopes up... it's been almost 15 years. I've started to let go lol.

Honestly, if Sony are serious about bringing Shenmue back, they would do far more than promote a Kickstarter, they would really fund the game.

My guess is, even if they convinced SEGA (they still own the IP, right?), it would be a timed exclusive at most.

Well, all signs point to Sony, they've been pretty talkative about it, and right now they are leading the market.

Neither Sony nor MS will announce a kickstarter. They buy the IP or exclusive rights and are done with it.

Well, at least Shenmue rumour made it just in time for E3, already thought it wouldn't make it in time.
 
I would take a 1+2 remastered right now, even if they don't have firm plans for Shenmue 3. If they sold decently we might get 3.

I haven't played 1+2 for years but I loved them so, so much.

I would buy an Xbox One for Shenmue 3.

Honestly this is where a remaster makes the most sense. 95% of the current gaming population has not played these games. Do the remaster, gauge interest and sales and then talk about shenmue 3
